My 2000 Interstate was totaled by the insurance company.  I have purchased a 2001 and was wondering if it is possible to swap out the wheels on the bikes.

The wheels are the same but I believe the finish may be different.

I have both a 2000 IS and a 2001 IS and the 2001 IS has factory clear-coated wheels where the 2000 IS does not.   The man I bought the 2001 from bought it new and he said it was like that when he bought it.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I did not think the IS came with clear coated wheels or final drives

The final drive on it is not clear coated but the wheels for sure are.   Perhaps that bike just got lucky and was at the right place at the right time during building to get some clear coated wheels.

I sure don't have to maintain those wheels like I do on my other Valkyries.
