Right now, my company is having the " Holiday Luncheon" - nothing religious at all, just fried chicken, mac n cheese and lots of desserts in the very small break room. More for " team building" than anything else, no mention of Christmas, just fun for the employees... Two muslim guys are just sitting right in the middle of it all, not participating. Eating their ground up chick pea gruel, so everyone has to side-step around them to get to the goodies... I know that when my folks immigrated to Detroit many, many years ago from the Old Country, they did all they could to assimilate into the local culture and did not expect anyone to side step around them...  |

I guess i'm lucky, we have one Asian i call my Asian buddy, very smart guy, we get along great. And we have one black guy that is a riot to be around. Closest thing we have to a muslim is a jehovahs whitness, great guy but does not particapate in any holiday gatherings.

The least the company could have done was to supply halal fried chicken. How insensitive of them.
