I had National Bags on that were looking shabby and did a poor job repainting them so I found these bags on E bay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-RS-TOP-LOAD-ABS-HARD-SADDLEBAGS-SADDLE-BAGS-YAMAHA-KAWASAKI-HONDA-WITH-LED-/331577597487?hash=item4d33909e2f:m:mZ1mthmvonz7GBZy5wTCuWA&vxp=mtr

These are "universal fit" bag and come with no brackets so it takes some designing and figuring.  I'll try to explain how I did it.
I tried using the bracket from the national bags but nothing seemed to work so I took the brackets off and put carriage bolts from the inside out. I used the brackets for a pattern for the mounting holes.

I added some straps to give the bag some extra support then I could hang on the carriage bolts, add fender washers and used wing nuts for easy removal.

The bags have dual LED lights that I wired into the tail light.  Still want to add some pig tail connectors for when I remove the bags.

Nice job !
I put the same bags on my VTX in 2010 when they first came out.
Sold the bike last winter when I got the Valk and they were still looking good.

Look good! Fit the contour of the bike really nice. Might wanna trim the bolts some. You pack it full and ride any distance those things will find a way to put holes in things. Rubber caps work to. If you don't pack up to them no problem.

Nice job.  Those bags look huge,  like they'd hold more cans of beer this hotglue's!

Thanks all.  Positioning the bags was difficult because of clearance between the shock and the signal light.  I wanted them high enough to look right.
The bags aren't as big as you'd think because of the shape of the bottom.
Because they are as high as they are and open from the top, inside I cant carry the saddleman bag over the seat any more so I have to pack things differently.  That was for days I decided to find a motel.
Yes, the bolts will be cut down. Then I add a small rubber hose for more protection.

They do look good.  I liked them so much that I put a set on my valk last summer.
