This weekend I installed an I/S ICM and also a set of 11.5 Progressive 444's...
That I/S ICM is designed to get a much heavier bike motivating than my bobber project, I had already installed the I/S carb springs
...and that difference was amazing on my way to work this morning...might have been the crisp air but that thing was like a new bike...and looking good with the 444 shocks.
Will be chopping the frame stubbies as soon as I get my turn signal relocation brackets

I tought my 97 Bobber Valk was fast.

BUT NOOOOO,.........!!!!      It became REAL FAST when I put in the I/S carb springs and an I/S ICM.

But seriously, it only accelerates a bit harder and no real HP gain.  (It may only feel quicker at idle to about 4500 RPM though)

Momz,
that is exactly right...also cold starts seem to be easier. It starts and idles and then stays running with just a little gas and it stays running and..,
That midrange....man!
Would 38 slow jets also play into the midrange improvement

RDKLL,
Swapping to .38 slow jets wil NOT improve your torque/power/acceleration, but it will make your fuel mileage worse. If you store your bike for long periods and do not properly drain the float bowels,.....then the .38 jets may slow the CLOGGING due to the fact that the internal diameter is larger.

I'd stick with the .35 jets and run Berrymans B12 Chemtool once in awhile and drain the float bowels before storge.

Hope this helps and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The 38's went in when I had to take the carbs out to clean them and living in the NE. Now I find myself in Arizona...would it be worth the hassle to go back to the 35's?

I wouldn't if it's running as good as you say and you are satisfied with its performance and fuel mileage.

You can change the Jets with the carbs on the bike.
