I went to the store buy some things, understand this is a major chain store. I went to the check out, had a bunch of stuff, I didn't have the sense to use a basket, OK. Seemed like it took a long time to get through with the people in front of me. Finally, I got to checkout, the girl at the register was texting while she was checking people out. I couldn't believe it!! I looked at the guy behind me and he just shook his head. What is going on with people that social media and texting is more important then their job and serving the customers.  MAN I DON"T GET IT!!!  PC, PC, and more PC.

And if she got fired for it, she still wouldn't get it.

I have similar situations at work. I've worked caring for the developmentally disabled for more than thirty-six years. Lately, all the young people who are sent to assist as daytime aides, spend much of their time seated on sofas, texting and searching the web. (even though the eight residents around them are frequently requesting assistance)
We have rules regarding use of phones, but they are generally ignored. And when I mention the problems to the Supervisory Elite, they encourage me to say nothing, as there is a shortage of young folk willing to take on human-service employment for ten to eleven bucks an hour. SIGH.

I would have ask to see a manager   And told them I wasn't comfortable with that person handling my money and neither should they be.
If I have a patient or family member of a patient texting or talking on their phone when called back for their appointment they will sit in their exam room not seen by anyone until the activity is over and if they ask why they waited so long I simply tell them evidently their phoneis ore important than the Doctors time so itell them when they turn it off I will let the doctor know they are ready to been seen andi guarantee the next visit the phone is off when they walk in the door.

You know the thing that got me, was she was doing it in plain sight, she wasn't hiding that she was texting.

Ask to see the manager.

While she's standing there, ask the manager if his/her employees are allowed to text while working.

Then tell the manager that he/she might want to have a gander at employee's phone.

Maybe if WW111 starts no one will come. They will be too busy texting.
