As this season comes each year it brings memories of the past and one of the best memories is riding; Riding and hitting the BBQ's on Saturdays with my Valk family.

Just thought I would stop bye and tell all that are still here that I appreciate all the memories.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Keep making memories as long as you can.  When you stop it can hurt for a long long time and maybe forever.

Mark, I think it was you I got ahold of when I was first looking into Valkyries. Thanks, if that was you! Also remember corresponding with Tropic Traveller before buying.
It seems I recognize John Schmidt, TJ, and DD for sure in those photos.
TJ - You haven't changed one bit since 2005!

There are some cool places to go that we haven't explored for food. Am sure some if not most are still around. Good BBQ places seen to last.
Cool license plate photos as well !

Would love to meet you two if you decide to join us on one of our ride to eat functions.

Hey Mark 'n Pat.  Hope the season brings you joy and relatives that visit for a few days.  :)  Good to see a post from you.

Merry Christmas to you. Thanks for posting up all these old memories, most of which were before I found this crew. Very interesting. There are still pics of quite a few folks that I do remember, but generally the group has been revitalized with many new faces, which is a great thing to happen to any group. Equally as important are the memories and faces associated with the past, for without that, there can be no present or future. So, again, thanks for the post!  :cooldude:

It's amazing that the love and interest of a motorcycle is the nucleus for all of this!  :)
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

Great post, Mark!!! WOW! What a flood of wonderful memories. You and Pat were the catalyst that made all that followed possible. An earlier post referred to the changing faces over the years... so true. Were it not for the two of you, though, the one constant, none of that would have lasted, I don't think. All of those who now enjoy the good times still being had owe a huge 'tip of the hat' to y'all... I know I tip mine whenever I think about those good ol' days. Special times, special people, really special memories... Thanks for all y'all did for all of us... Merry Christmas to everybody... ride on!!!

Oh the memories those pics brought back. Looking at the number of Valkyrie riders list it seems our group has shrunk quite a bit, at least in numbers if not in size.  ;)  Often wondered what happened to some of them, I noticed a picture with Dave Bastedo in it. He used to frequent our "Breakfast Club" gatherings at Luigi's in Brooksville. Same with Red, who seemed to change/trade bikes about as often as the phase of the moon. Another couple that lived in Brooksville, don't recall the names but remember the faces....believe he was also a retired deputy. A lot of those 2, 3, & 4 digit member numbers no longer ride with us or are no longer with us. Time marches on!

About the only thing that hasn't changed in those pictures is my hair seemed to stay the same color: PLATINUM BLONDE!   ;D
