It's December 23 here in down town Minneapolis, around 32 deg and snowing.  I look out the window of my lab and see this.

You're looking at our motorcycle parking lot, (free parking for motorcycles).  One brave soul refuses to give in, I salute him and wish him luck.

Yea, today is a pretty nasty day to be riding....the cold not so much, but the wet slush that is falling is not so good.  Not to mention all the "holiday drivers"...looking everywhere other than the highway, and not looking at any of the other drivers!

Hi Nate, figured you might be in Tennessee this time of year riding your Valk.

It's about 10:30 at night on the 23rd...it's 73 degrees and raining.

It's been raining for days now.  The forcast is for more rain, then...more rain followed by more rain.   Sad

Might not be all that dry for Joe's Day after Christmas Gulf Coast Ride.

I feel for ya', BF! Looked at the weather and it is all over your neck of the woods.
I took an evening/night ride from Central Florida over to the Coast this evening. Ended in Weeki Watchee Springs taking an inland back road route. Stopped at Hardys for a bike night there and met a bunch of Valk riders I knew would be there.
The ride on the way home was pure Heaven. Cool air, the full moon lighting up a hazy sky and lighting up the roads along the way. Got home a little after 10pm and wished it could have lasted longer.

Same same here in West Central Louisiana, supposed to be in mid 80s today, and main rain event tomorrow with more to come.

Same up here in VA.  Got my windows open in the computer room, but can't open the rest... it's too hot and humid outside (70 and climbing), and I'd have to turn the AC on later.  Shocked

I had hoped to slip a ride in, but not in all the rain and mud.

I hope my trees don't start growing leaves again, had enough of that this fall.

Our previous record high for the day was 69* in 1933.  I don't remember that far back.

I could go out and wash my car in a bathing suit (and Santa hat).  crazy2

Got lucky today (well sort of)--50F and sunny.  My son showed up at the shop on his Yamaha and said I should go home and get my bike--which I did.  Today is the only decent looking day in the next 10.  Pretty good, riding on Christmas eve, for southern Ohio.

Speaking of weather, I rolled through Nashville last night during their tornado warning with my RV/Toy hauler and I'm tell'n ya, I was looking for a place to pull over.    That wind was rock'n the boat and it was raining so hard that I had to slow to 15 mph just to be able to see the road.   Traffic wasn't much of a problem at that time, most folks slowed down, well except for that one dumbass that I eventually passed who was up against a guard rail.   Pulled over and spent the night just south of the TN/AL state line and let it have it's way the rest of the night.   I'm tell'n ya, that RV/Toy hauler was a rock'n but, there wasn't nutt'n happen on the inside.    Wink

Would love to be, but the folks are up here...so we are being gratious hosts. Smiley
