When you took your headers off

If you took your entire exhaust off for whatever reason did you have to start it just the hear what it sounded like at least for 3 seconds??  I wil be putting on a stock set soon and I am tempted.

Go for it. You will do no damage  for that short of time. Yes, it is a wild sound. Just like an old race car.

Sure did Jerry, took Rita about 5 seconds to appear in the doorway leading into the house. I couldn't hear her but the look spoke much louder than the exhaust. Did the same thing with the 1200, with much the same reaction.
