I first saw that perhaps a year ago. It was one of the funniest and most well done productions I've ever seen.  I didn't at all mind watching it again!

Reminds me of an incident in HS football practice.  Early season we could not wear football gear or play football, so our sadistic nazi coach made us play soccer.  We hated soccer, which for novices is little more than running your ass off until you drop from exhaustion (and occasionally tripping over the ball).

So a guy makes the mistake of complaining about stinking soccer, and Herr Himmler the coach makes him do laps, which is actually easier than soccer since you are off jogging on your own, and not sprinting full out under Herr Himmler's close supervision.

So he gets back from laps and is put back in the soccer game.  He runs mightily at the ball and kicks it with everything he has, but it goes off 90* from his point of aim, and hits Herr Himmler at top speed, 15 feet away, right in the head/ear and knocks him completely off his feet, and flat on his back.

This is the funniest thing anyone on the team has ever seen and we are quietly laughing our asses off, trying not to be heard by poor coach who is trying to get back up, but can't quite make it.

We didn't high five the errant kicker until safely back in the locker room; he was king for the day.

Everyone knew it was purely an accident, we sucked at soccer, but coach was never convinced it wasn't done on purpose.

At age 59 I am now in my 51st year of playing soccer, in an over 55's "masters" league. Playing at this age, believe me, I have to agree with your analogy of what really is a great game does indeed apply many times..."running your ass off until you drop from exhaustion and occasionally tripping over the ball"  Wink

This is a fantasticly done video by the way. Saw it first about a year or so ago, but laughed just as hard today watching it again...the commentators are priceless  2funny

not to take anything away from the physical aspect of soccer, but it reminds me of golf in a way.  You hit the ball, then go chase it to hit it away from you again and again and again.

Something doesn't add up there?   Roll Eyes

I do hear soccer is the #1 sport nationwide though and am sure good exercise, if you like to run that is.
