Since I dont have the time to head down to Tennessee to ride with friends I woke up this morning, with no hangover cause only had 2 beers last night, checked the air in the beemer and went for a nice hour long ride first on the switchbacks on Chappaqua Road and east and west across the ridges as I made my way slowly north to Yorktown
Temp was in the 30's, mesh jacket weather but did turn on the heated grips

Came home for some leftover lemon pie and chocolate ice cream cake and then checked the air in the Valkyrie,  both needed a few lbs and took care of that. Then saddled up and rode up the goat trail

As usual there was a nice bracing breeze off the Hudson and did not see one other lunatic (rider) today.  Was out for an hour also on the Valkyrie feeling very lucky to be able to have 2 bikes to ride today

The heated gear on the Valk was great but I think I need to ask Santa for the next larger size gloves for next winter as they seemed real tight  my chaps have also seen better days so at Americade this year I will look into that as well.  It did hit 40 according to the weather man - perfect for riding   flurries now but nothing sticking
and Weather.com says zero percent chance of precipitation

What does the weather squirrel say down in Dallas Daniel?

Did anyone else get to ride today?

Was also out today, yesterday, and the day before on my Goldwing. It has a little more protection from the elements than my Valkyrie. I'm still commuting, although Monday and Tuesday look to become much colder, so I'll have to cage it!

Went for a good ride New Years Eve. Pretty hot down here and was sweating during the ride. So much for looking forward to cooler weather!! Great ride though.

Seeing icy patches and 24 degrees is not wimping out. One patch, and goodbye bike, with a long winter recovery. I hope the weather improves so you can get out!

I managed to eek out 340 miles yesterday.....The plan was to make a circle of through the Hickory nut gorge to the Blue Ridge Parkway......Then up to Boone NC before turning for home. As it turns out the BRP was closed 10 miles from Asheville. Soooo back down through the gorge and on to home......  Wink A good day was had.

I turned 60 on Wednesday.  Wife said what you wanna do.  Said I'm going ridding.  Went out for a couple of hours, did not see one other bike, Temps mid 30s and dry.  Yesterday told wife from now on between the holidays I am going to go to my sisters' place on the Treasure Coast of FL., Jensen Beach.  I will either buy a Ford Transit ( Business vehicle ) this year or just rent one for the holidays.  I think I can talk here into going with little difficulty.

I rode on Jan 1.  Im working in Palm Bay, Fl.  No cold weather here.  Some rain fell on my pretty bike though.  That worked out because I was getting ready to wash the salt air scum off of it soon.

100 miles up and down the east coast of Fl.  Beautiful day between showers.

Happy New Year.

Today, January 2nd, I turned 72 years, I kept my wise ass at home. I can do plenty of riding when it warms up a little and that will be soon enough.
