(Sorry to those who know me on Facebook, this is sort of a dupe) The spousal unit and I were visiting her dad in Florida over the holidays, and the triplets were very interested in Granddad's "Star Wars Stormtrooper car" as they called it.

So we let them play around it...

And sit in it...

And hang out in the "trunk"...

And then we did the unthinkable, and put a child safety seat in it and took 'em all for rides one by one...

A good time was had by all! The kiddos are definitely adrenaline junkies though, the kept egging me on to go "FASTER DADDY! FASTER FASTERRRRRR!!!"

This was the first time I'd ever sat in a 'Vette, and I'll admit I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Still not my cup of tea, and it was missing a pedal, but was still a lot of fun to just stomp the accelerator and hang on...

Very nice ! I hope you haven't screwed up though. Buying 3 sports cars at the same is going to be rough.

Granddad's "Star Wars Stormtrooper car"

I had my '69 stingray drop top at March AFB when the first Batman movie came out.

I lived on base in family housing (with a 15mph limit), and rolling through housing with my Hooker headers and side pipes rumbling, the kids would run and bicycle along side and yell.... Hey, it's the Batmobile.   cooldude

I like the perspective, and they're not far off.

I had a 66 roadster. Hard top/ soft top. I drove from SoCal to Albuquerque in the monsoon rainy season and the hardtop leaked right over the driver's knees.
When I got to ABQ, I would have traded it at a great loss for a sedan.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Dad had a 70 vette in the mid 80's. Child seats?? All 3 of us would ride in it. 1 of us in the seat and the other sat on the center console.

You guys had all the cool parent's cars, not me.

I grew up driving a 1976 and a 1986 still running (well somewhat) caprice classic sedan.

6 full sized passengers and if needing room for 5 more, the massive trunk will do.   2funny

We didn't have a truck growing up, but the trunk of the boat machine caprice was deep/long enough to fit a 10-12' jon boat inside strapped down no problems.

Been in a Vette only once, and was scary fast doing 75 mph in town around a 25 mph corner.  NO thanks, I could get into too much trouble.  VERY hard to get out of as well and sits way too low for my tastes.
