Wayne H

Been a long time since I last logged on to this page.
I was diagnosed with stage one  Lung Cancer last May and underwent surgery in June. The upper lobe of my right lung was removed and all appeared to be fine. I was scheduled to be released in two days then all hell broke loose. The lung collapsed and I went on a ventilator for two weeks. I do not remember any of this. After a couple of more weeks mostly in ICU I was finally released to come home but was having great difficulty breathing.

I was home 10 days and come down with pneumonia and went back to the hospital for two more weeks. When I was allowed to come home again I was signed up for home oxygen and have just recently started weaning myself from it.
I now only use the portable oxygen bottle when I'm out and about for any length of time. Doctors say the breathing will eventually come back I just have to learn to breathe with limited lung capacity.

I have been riding and happy to say while I'm on the Valkyrie I do not have breathing trouble.
Better days are on the way!  :cooldude:

OK Wayne, enough already.  ;)  Glad to hear you're doing better and able to ride, been wondering what you've been up to but didn't know it was that bad. Keep us posted as time passes.

Like John said.  Enough of that kind of stuff Wayne.  Looks like you are still in OK. so "back" means back in circulation and on the VRCC board I suppose.  But anyway so glad to know that you beat the odds.

And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode

Pappy!

Happy you are doing better.
Sounds like a little forced induction from a Valk ride is a good prescription!

Valkahuna

Glad to hear you are back and on two wheels.  :cooldude:
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)
