I can/have dropped a lot of trees in my life.  Most of them fell/hit the ground where I wanted.  This guy is amazing with the chainsaw.

I just cut mine off flat about 15 inches high, and put a concrete planter on it.

A lot less cost and mess than grinding a big stump down below ground level. 

I put my one annual flower in the planter in summer; it's empty now for winter, and am looking for one of those pink plastic flamingos to stick in there that are so popular.

I had a neighbor that had two trees cut down and had someone come over to cut bear faces in them,just the faces. $300 each, not cheap. Bet that video was a $1500 job. It is a beauty though.

   There is a guy just north of Newago Michigan that does this and he has some amazing carvings for sale. These people are artist.
