There is no way of knowing. It would be kinda cool to know, but that is not going to happen.  cooldude

I think the numbers go pretty high probably 25K or better, but the number actually active at some level is much smaller. I this was discussed a few years ago and there is a way to see how many are active but it was not practical from either time wise or cost...
Just noticed on the main page 10197, but the are member numbers much higher than that...not sure what the difference is

It all depends on how you look at it. 10,197 might have signed up over the years as members, but I am going to guess that the vast majority of those members have moved on to other bikes, lost interest (or never had it), died, stopped riding, etc, etc, etc.

If you aren't paying dues, or even if you are to any group, you might be a member, but it doesn't mean you are an active member.

Participation is key IMO. Not saying attending Inzane or other rides is the only the measure of being active. It could be something as simple as posting here on the board, on VRCC Facebook group, meeting another Valkyrie rider and telling them about the wealth of info here, or just wearing a patch or VRCC T-shirt. Even if it's only once or twice a year.

Using the active criteria, my guess would be a thousand at best.

Since the VRCC does not require dues there is no motivation to maintain an active member database.  As was stated, we have a very large number of folks who have joined and have since moved on without having a member number removed.

Here are a few stats that may have meaning to you.

37,410 is the highest member number used.  The first was 1 and they are sequential.

Today (and the day is yet young) we have had 365 different members signed on to the message boards.

In the past week we have had 882 different members signed on to the message boards.

Within the past month we have had 1,318 members signed on to the message boards.

When using the message board numbers one must keep in mind that one needs to sign in only to post.  We have a lot of members who browse the boards without bothering to sign on.  We also include folks who participate from time to time in VRCC events but almost never go to the message boards.

Someone said we can't know and that's accurate but we can determine a rough number.

And it should also be noted, whether they are members or not, lot's of us have been fully supported by our "better halves"--sometimes the silent minority, sometimes not so silent.

How many members have attended InZane in recent years?

My recollection of last year was a little under 400.
