I've been trying to download Windows 10....however, every time I try, I hit the run button and then.....nothing.

I don't know what's stopping it from downloading.  Anyone else have this problem?

Win 10 may not work well on some computers.
It uses fewer drivers than what may be on yours and that makes for issues..
Call Microsoft and speak to the guy in India and he will walk you through it.

As I recall when I did my computers there was an option to "check for new drivers" or some such wording.

This 'puter is only a year old.  It's on Windows 7, but I ran the compatibility test and it's supposed to be good to go for the upgrade.

The wife's laptop downloaded 10 easy peasy.

As I recall when I did my computers there was an option to "check for new drivers" or some such wording.

I can't get to that point.  I click download, then click run, and then.....nothing.

I've been trying to download 10 from this page......

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade

Back when they first started allowing people to reserve your "free" Windows 10, I reserved a download for this computer and one for the wife's laptop.

We got the notification on the wife's laptop to download, but I've never gotten notification on this computer.

I'm about ready to say screw it and just keep my Windows 7 version.

Had the same problem on my wife's PC last week.  We had to update the drivers for her graphics card.  Then the PC Windows 10 update worked.  So, make sure all your updates have been applied to the PC and then try again.  Hope this helps.

It took multiple attempts and more than 24 hrs to get Windows 10 to download onto my netbook.

I finally had to go directly to Microsoft's web site and download it.

I'm not going to load it onto my laptop.

The reason being that I had documents, pics and some obscure programs disappear from the netbook computer after the upgrade.

The netbook was running Win 7 Starter and I'm pleased with win 10 so far except for the files that it deleted.

My laptop is running Win 8.1 which I like just fine, so I'm not going to go through the hassle of upgrading it.
