My Gold Wing is still at my dealer due to the weather but the modifications are well under way. Added a trunk spoiler with running and brake LED's, additional rear brake LED's as well as adding additional bulbs to the factory set up. Can't have too many brake lights!  cooldude

Also added some LED's on the perimeter of the headlights under the bodywork for what I believe is a pretty cool effect.

The longer it sits the more time I have to add things to it. I hope spring gets here before I go broke!  Cheesy

Looks really great! But please don't expect the lights to assure you are seen. Ride like no one knows you are there at all. Folks miss School buses and semi's with more lights than a Christmas tree.

Looks like it's sitting in the showroom, I hope there is a big Keep Off sign on it.
Bike looks great!
Did they have to remove the fairing to install the led lights? I like those.
Let's hope for a early riding season.

It is sitting on the showroom floor, however it is covered. (And I have to say the Hondaline cover is the nicest made cover I have ever seen!) I can go uncover it, fuss with it and even do things to it whenever I want to make the 40 mile journey. As I have said before, I am blessed with an AWESOME dealer.

The light mounting to my liking did require the upper and lower fairing panels be removed so the light strip could be mounted just behind the panel so you wouldn't catch them with a wash mitt, etc. I really liked the way they turned out.

Next step besides fog lights which I would have thought should have been included from factory as OEM on that expensive anniversay Wing is upfront hwy. pegs on those crash bars??

Better get busy,  ONLY 2 more months to actually ride it.  Roll Eyes

Does the misses like the swing out armrests for passenger, gotta keep her happy ya know.  coolsmiley

what about a nice looking chrome luggage rack bar on top of that nice lighted up fairing on the trunk?

Only keeps getting more expensive darn it?   Undecided

Hey Dave,   are my eyes deceiving me or is that the brightest "black" paint you've ever had?  I think it's awesome, but I can't recall those kind of colors since you left the Cream & Crimson crowd (I'm still there!!!!)...    Sure looks good, but I'll bet it is better in person.  Congrats to you on this one!  Hope to see you down the road...  My oldest daughter is getting married on June 18th, 2016,  so I need to see how things play out...  Take care and I'll watch for you on the road!!!

They can. That particular picture is off Kury's web site, I didn't put those on mine. I also have ZERO chrome on this bike. Everything either blacked out or painted. The only chrome that is on it is the antenna mount and I plan to get that powder coated black.

I took my fairing off to replace the black pods next to the headlights and it's a big job and I don't know if I want to that again.

Nice.  While adding bling consider a Belly Pan.  Easy install and it protects the cooling overflow tank (and other stuff).  Some say it is unnecessary but mine took a huge hit returning from Alaska. Several styles are available.  Mine was from Wingstuff.com.

I saw your Wing this morning ,Dave. Really nice!  +1 on the belly pan as mentioned earlier. I have the McGuyver pan on my "6" which I painted black to match the rest of the bike.

Thanks for the belly pan tip. Sheesh, not that I hadn't learned this with the Valkyrie but that was in 2001. Buying the bike is the cheap part! Adding all the gee-gaws and farkles is the expensive part! 2funny

Also if you're going to join a GoldWing forum don't mention crush washers for the oil drain plug.   uglystupid2

The McGuyver belly pan costs more but does seem to be solid.  I went with a thinner one that now has a nice crease and dent from a huge rock hidden in the gravel base rocks while driving through the Yukon.   They are a two part unit, with the front part removed during oil changes.

There is a recall on the brakes, might want that fixed before picking it up.

Ya a belly pan was my first thing.
Then the new style lights that fit the more square lower fairing openings.
Look at the ones from Big bike or from Socal.
The ones from socal have DRL and turnlights.
I have the bigbike lights and they are led and bright.

I believe that the recall had to be done before the bike was sold.

NICE WING.

Just popped up listing near me am tempted to bite the bullet as well getting a WING, but need to really sell my 2001 valk I/S first (can't have 2 big bikes).  Is a 2002 Wing ABS braking, all nice maroon red chromed out tastfully with dual antennas (guessing has CB then right?), fog lamps, rear chrome luggage rack above the rear spoiler,  driver's backrest,  trailer hitch ball, upfront hwy. pegs,  and the ONLY thing I don't like is the way too tall windshield but that is an easy swap for OEM height.   ONLY has 39K miles and ONLY want 8K for it I think is a GREAT winter deal?  Might go take a look at it tomorrow and if fluids all changed and near new tires (would run 700 both tires to replace),  I'd love to take it for a ride but is NOT riding season here in WI so doubt they would want me to get it dirty since is cleaned up like new.   Winter sales in WI for bikes is NOT selling so if he asked what I could give to get rid of it,  I might just say 7500 bucks and see if they accept the offer.  Wife would KILL me if I bought it having 2 big bikes but would think I can sell my 2001 I/S come spring for 7K??

I have not seen around year 2002 Wing with under 40K miles below 9K yet and this is 8K with nicely done options I desire.   Wife says gotta sell my 01' Valk I/S first with only 31K miles on it though.
