Suspension on fork oil?

I removed some fork oil some time ago from the right leg and finally today from the right leg. The oil I removed before was a dark silvery grey colour, as it was today. But when I picked up the bottle of older removed oil, it was clear honey colour with sediment on the bottom! I am a bit concerned, to say the least. I have just had these forks re-sealed.

So does any of the fork oil have someting suspended in it? Carbon etc for lube?

Thanks for any help

The fork oil I've used in other bikes was the clear, slightly honey-colored you describe. I'm curious as to why your current oil is silvery grey - moly, maybe?

Yeah I posted a description of this before and asked, and there were no theories. The suspension took a couple of weeks to settle out, so I _doubt_ it's metal from the fork. Just the action of riding seems to keep it stirred up in the fork. Being sluiced back and forth through vents and valves would stir it pretty hard.

I'll talk to the shop and see what they say...Monday before that happens now. Unless thye have done a _really_ shoddy job (and their repo speaks against that) if there was something wrong they would have said
