Not a fan of those for anything more than the novelty, but if you're gonna go that way, take a good look at the Governor instead... The Governor has 6 round capacity instead of 5 and does .410 and .45lc like the Judge, but adds the ability to shoot .45ACP as well...

Yea....what Serk said.   Governor is a better choice IMO.

Also...if you happen to go by the folks that do NFA Class firearms, see if they have a Norrel Full Auto Trigger Pack for a Ruger 1022 for sale (get price and contact info).  I've been having this craving for one of those full auto toys and figured I could on afford to shoot .22

Did a little looking recently myself, and looks like those are running in the $9,000 - $15,000 range, if you can find one... (And most of those prices were from a few years ago, probably went up even more since then.)

I bought a Judge when they first came out with the cylinder capable of the 3" magnum .410s.
I have carried it hunting with me loaded with #8s for snakes during the early season. It has taken two Timber Rattlers so far. Although not the only thing around, I keep it on the ready at the house loaded with a variety starting with #4 shot, then slugs, 00, or home defense discs.  Have shot a bunch of cowboy .45LC in it as well and the gun is pretty accurate. Loaded the way I have it I am sure it will get the job done. No argument that there are better guns out there but none of the naysayers has offered to stand in front of it yet......

I contacted John Norrell directly via email and this was his response......

John,
It is nice to hear from you.  I don't have any trigger packs that I'm offering for sale. Ones I've sold in the past, both used and new, show up occasionally on websites like http://www.subguns.com/ and similar sites.  Expect them to run $12 k to $14K wholesale with new ones hitting retail at 20k. The trigger packs I made are the machine gun and it can be moved from one Ruger to another.

Those I sold were all made before the machine gun cut-off of May 19, 1986. I still make them for law enforcement and some class II manufacturers. I've not had any returned in 35 years that wore out.  I've seen the bolt need to be replaced on a few at about 40,000 rounds.  The units I get in to work on have missing parts or have been re-assembled incorrectly.

They are hard to find because a full auto 22 is the last machine gun in your collection you would sell. They are fun and family rifles but they  also make for a devastating hunting rifle for coyotes, flying crows, beaver, etc. Due to very low recoil they are easy to aim on full auto.

Checking the Internet is the best way to find them.

Thanks,
John
