So the other day I mention needing to get my fork seals replaced because the left one was leaking pretty bad...and I had mentioned that I thought I had the skills, I didnt have the tools or the workbench so I figure I would take the hit the shop would charge because of the other stuff I have done myself.
Bam, I get a pm from Sandy, one of VRCC's own who lives in the same part of the world as I do...
He says bring them over on Sunday morning and he will knock them out for me...so I get up early and get the shopping done (hunter gathering stuff) and I get home and get the forks off and chill, shoot Sandy an email telling him that I have the fork loaded in her Subie and confirming the time and I sent this at 10:36am...he calls and tells me to come on over today...so long story into a best seller...I have the bike back together and will be meeting Sandy and Darryl (came over to shoot the breeze and talk about a Chevelle, long story and for another time LOL) tomorrow for breakfast...his talents might be priceless but he suggested lunch and then invited me to join them for breakfast.

cooldude  Cool dude for sure.  I was scanning the globe trying to find a Rivco kickstand pad, and placed a WTB in the classifieds.  He sent me a tip via pm that a shop in Tempe had one new in the package.  Must have been one of the last ones in the universe, I'd been looking everywhere.  Thanks, Sandy!

Sandy is good people, but he repeats himself a lot repeats himself a lot.

As one of his "ridin' buddies", he's also bailed my butt out a couple of times.  Pretty decent navigator on the 2 lanes.  Well, except for that stretch in New Mexico where I got a little nervous.

Anyway, we gotta temper some of this danged love with some reality.
