today and I answered-Gladly. From wed to today 756 miles. Today was fantastically beautiful or beautifully fantastic as days go. Came off of U S 160 West the other side of Theodosia and headed North on Missouri 95. Bout 6 miles up 95 a wide spot called Long Run. About 2 miles before and 3 miles after Long Run the pine forest was making itself known to me with such a wonderful aroma. Had a LOT of crosswinds today but nuttin I couldn't handle. There are places on that stretch of 95 where the land falls away rather abruptly from the highway and from these vantage points you could see the sunlight and shadow playing tag. Stopped at the MODOT barn in Wasola and munched on the cookies I brought with me. 95 North runs with Missouri 5 South a bit than back onto 95 North and some more interesting vitas and more sunlight and shadow tag going on. The ONLY wildlife I encountered today was a roadrunner and he was a bit difficult to discern as it was about the same color of the grass it ran into. There is a lookout on 95 North of Missouri 14 around the Shannon Ranch that I will have to get to to watch a sunrise when it warms up a tad more. It's got a gravel lot and a concrete and stone picnic table so I'm thinkin coffee and donuts waitin on that sunrise. Sposed to start raining tonight but we shall see. Bottom still scheduled to drop out Wed.  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.

I tip my hat to ya, bro. I'm out on a road trip, too... only I've considerably farther south than you are... I'm measuring my progress in 'Wimp Factors' while yours are , no doubt, being measured in 'Macho Factors'... Ride safe, ol' buddy, and watch out fer them moisturfication events n'at...

Dennis, Nice road story. We've had some decent days here in NE Indiana but no rain to take the salt off the streets.  Doesn't make any difference since the Miata is sleeping over at Mark's house with only theft insurance on it,

The Miata isn't like the Valkyire but it still generates PMS (Parked Miata Syndrome) sitting covered up.

Well I learned something on this ride OR was reminded-either or!  2funny At Tecumseh Mo. on U S 160 there is lake/river access at either end of the bridge but the west end is paved and has a paved boat ramp. They have had some high water and as I came down on the road I noticed pieces of asphalt lifted out of the road bed.  Got around THAT and headed for the circle road there and found out that the Phatt Ghurl DO NOT like deep sand.  Lips Sealed Dog paddling like a rank amature was what kept me from dumping her.  uglystupid2 I didn't KNOW the sand was THAT deep til AFTER I got into it!  crazy2 Bruce-Wayne-thank you for the kind words. I KNOW some folks have severe cases of P M S BUT I've been blessed with some very good ridin weather in January!  cooldude Had that ice storm couple of weeks ago but decent weather since that melted off.  Wink RIDE SAFE.
