I still have one......and in stock form.  It isn't humdrum.......but it is a 1982 model in 2016.  Still gets up and goes great.

10 speeds is over rated as you know.  We never shift 10 times.  Just put the transfer case shifter in high or low depending on your riding style....hi for highway and low for spirited torque.  Just had it out for a little ride a few days ago.

Great bike(s), I had "82 CB900F. Damn, can't remember if it had 5 or 6 speed trans. I remember the sister CB900C. More of a cruiser style with the dual range trans. Never had the pleasure of riding one. Couple guys in town had'em. Miss the 900F shoulda...... Undecided

The 750/900/1100 F's all had 5 speed transmissions. The CB900C and CB1000C had the same 5 speed tran's with a dual range box.

I had the "C"... 2 tone bronze.....

I talk to the guy I sold it to once in a while, he still has it..... still looks new....

Wish I had kept it......  Angry, but I had run it up to 45K and was told that it would be soon for major work if I kept going..... Got a Wing and kept that for 16years....

I had a 81. Bought new. Traded it 3 years latter with 36,000 on the clock. Had the Honda line fairing and Honda line color matched clam shell bags. I used the dual range as a 6th gear out on the highway. Most of the CB900s would develop a hinge/ woble sooner or latter. Mine would start the head shake between 120-125mph. Traded it for a new GL1200. Man I hated that 80 mph speedo on the CB900. Hit a exit ramp with the speedo pegged. Half way up the ramp the speedo was no where near the 80 mark. Ohoh. Figured out latter the I exited the freeway some place around 125.

Yea, I got a different one now.  I didn't care for that one much and swapped one I got on another bike with that one.  It's a little smaller, but still functional and better looking IMO.

Great looking bike PAVALKER!  Like the day you brought it home, I bet.  I had a 72 350CB that I kick myself for selling so I could buy, wait for it.... GOLF CLUBS.  Stupid game. I gave up motorcycles for 40+ years but not golf.  Stupid game.
