Ran across this on Pinterest, kind of unusual. The side car is an antique boat and motor.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

That's unique. Wonder if you put a good sized prop on it if it would help you go faster!  Or, it could come in handy fording a river....all kinds of possibilities. I'd just like to have the boat and motor.  :cooldude:

Ten bucs says Pappy will know exactly what make and model that motor is if infact it is a real boat motor, looks like a Briggs and Stratton to me....anybody ?   :uglystupid2:

One thing I do know for sure is that you would not want to put one hand on that thing with the wire on top while you pull the crank rope.   :)  Neat sidecar.

Could be an enlightening experience, and I speak from experience.   :crazy2:

Don't believe it's a BMW. Looks British and front fender badge says: BSA
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

:cooldude: I like that. It would sure get the looks up our way! I would assume the side car (boat)  was a functioning little Lake Scooter!  :coolsmiley: Have a great weekend guys!

The Motor is a 1930 OMC Foldlite Model 162. It could be a Sea King, Evinrude or Lockwood, depending on the decal on the back. That is the only thing that will tell you the brand. It has a whopping 2.75 horsepower and you could even get it in a metal traveling box. I had to ask on this one....

Really?  Well, there goes my confidence in you right out the window!   ;D

Looks a lot like the one a couple buddies and I ran across one summer. We stuck it in a barrel full of water and spent hours...days pulling on it trying to get it running. I think my right arm is a bit longer than my left as a result. We left it alone one day and didn't get back to it for a week, I gave it one mighty pull and the fool thing fired up....full throttle, and promptly emptied the barrel all over us. Found something with the throttle was broken, don't recall what, but made it run wide open soon as it started. Kept us out of trouble most of the summer.

What a great looking ride. :cooldude: It'll never work though, the boat's mounted on the wrong side of the bike.

Well Hell, I could have asked someone, if I knew someone who would actually know, which was you up until now....... ;D
I still miss her.

Hey......ya' have to know WHO to ask....does that count?
I knew the Foldlight part but didn't know OMC built for so many other manufacturers back then. Hell that was 86 years ago! John should have known that one!!

John Schmidt

OK....on the old board we used to have an emoticon that showed him dropping his britches with his back to you. I ain't that old.....in years at least.  :2funny:

That is a very sharp looking sidecar. Unique, to be sure. I am thinking that the placement of the S/C on the left side of the bike might be either a flipped negative (some old dinosaurs still use film) or possibly it is in a country where they drive on the opposite side of the road........
