I enjoyed the game and maybe Newton will return next season with a little more humility and less little boy petulance.

I thought it was a good game, but, I don't care about football. I didn't see Carolina giving away the game. I saw Cam get his ass kicked which he apparently wasn't used too. I was pretty full of Jameson's by the end though. 1/2 time sure wasn't impressive and most of the advertisements were pretty poor.

Yep, missed seeing them. I like to see them whenever they [ or we] are in the area. Those horses are beautiful as well as the Studebaker wagon.

I like the Dorito's commercial with the husband in the delivery room eating doritos and the ultrasound on pregnant wife showed the unborn child reaching for the doritos and then shot out of the mom's ho-ha to get the doritos.   That was funny.

A lot of car commercials as well Hyundai being at first the most noticeable for me being the genesis and elantra models.

1/2 time was o.k., but was not horrible.  Anytime you get to see Beyonce shake her bootie cannot be bad, she is HOT (IMO).  I like though how all 3 on stage sang the hip hop songs, although not a hip hop fan as am sure most of us are not either not being the young generation anymore.

I would also like to see Manning go out on top. I have been a Manning fan since he started in Indy years ago. The only QB to take 2 different teams to the super bowl 2 times each. Dude is a legend. I'm not sure I could hold back my laughter if Newton breaks his leg. I cant stand him, cocky piece of crap. He is young and I see him choking hard tonight.

+ 1

Yes, he did choke.  Breaks my heart, NOT.

Glad Manning went out with a win.  Good for him.
It seemed more to me that Denvers defense just DOMINATED that offense. None of them looked very good.

Denver's defense is why they won, not Peyton.  Newton's passes where high most of the night.
He looked flustered all game.  The fact that he never went after the second fumble was just wrong. That's football 101.  Saw a little of the press conference.  He pouted like a little kid.
Never have liked cocky athletes, either playing with them or coaching them.

I am going to be real curious what he says about not going for the fumble. If I was on the team I would be pissed.

If the NFL had hopes of making Newton the new face of the NFL quarterbacks or at least in the hierachy like Manning, Brady, Rodgers, etc., he blew it big time with that pathetic media interview last night.  Show some humility.  Make no mistake he just lost millions in endosements with that act.  That is too bad as he was being hammered by many in the press leading up to the Superbowl for his persona.  I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt ( not that that matters, heck I am a nobody ) I just did not think he was getting a fair shake.  He can still change and would be in his interest to do so,  or he can be a prick.

Really not much of an NFL fan, much less either team playing. But I do watch a game now and then.

Thought this was a great game if you enjoy the defensive side of the game, and I do.

As to Cam Newton. I've seen Carolina play on TV some and have seen clips of Newton now and then.

He always seems to be a rather "spirited" person. Full of energy and seems to be enjoying things.
I noticed that from the start of game yesterday he seemed to be in some distress. Maybe he partied to hard the day before or something. Something was amiss with him in my opinion.

But holy crap can he throw a football. Would be real fortunate if they could have caught it.

Denver's defense was outstanding as was the Carolina defense.

Did think that was a catch in the 1st quarter and could not believe the incomplete call was upheld.
Had an impact on the game's dynamics as it was a play or two later the Broncos caused the fumble which led to the Bronco defense scoring the TD.

If ruled a catch, no Bronco TD.

Neither team's offense was really hitting on all cylinders.

Hope Manning retires. Good way to go out with a SB win. Hate to see him get broke.

Talib's facemask tackle in the 1st half of Brown at the 10 yard line should have gotten Talib at least ejected and 5 years with no parole. That was a disgrace and it was seemingly glossed over. Talib even admitted it was intentional. And it was pretty clear it was intentional.

But all around good game to watch. Congrats Broncos!

Agreed.

like I stated in my post, the WWWNFL and refs will help denver win at all cost.
there were a few other penalties that should have been called.
All games are somewhat fixed, how does one think the bookies stay in business?
how many high-end inside betters, like owners took denver and the points?$$$$$$

Well the game is over. Denver didn't win...Carolina gave it to them. Oh well, doesn't matter who won ...none of the overpaid athletes will give me any money.

Carolina gave it to them?  Kinda like a swimmer gives a limb to a shark!
