Dennis, good to hear you guys are back in the saddle, and that seafood.....oh my. I miss that stuff. As for Lake Ponch, last time I went across it on the bike it was nice and calm when I started. Halfway out the wind came up with a huge blast and almost dumped me but I was able to get it under control. I actually saw it coming....a clear day and calm water but suddenly I saw the water starting to ripple and wave up real good coming from my left so I was ready for it when it hit the bridge. It was much like watching a wall of rain approach, you could actually see it coming across the water. A big box truck about 100 yds. ahead really started to rock and swing from lane to lane....then suddenly it was over. Really weird.
