I thought there would be more to those pictures than what was then being shown or talked about. Remember how our administration reacted.  I figured they would come back to bite us.

Well, Iran is now is now showing those pictures in their propaganda ads.

I don't think I need to make my thoughts known, but, F---- Iran. We should have turned that country into a sheet of glass years ago. We would have been better off.

The actual reality of nuking a population isn't appealing, but does anyone remember
the parody of the song "Barbara Ann" that was on the radio while the hostages
were in Iran?

Ba ba ba ba Barbara Ann
Ba ba ba ba Barbara Ann

became

Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran
Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran

To paraphrase Trump...........

We never win anymore.  We have political hacks making deals.  We're weak.

Mike,, you used the word reality in your post.  It's a huge word that encompasses so very much meaning, yet folks choose to ignore it so easily.

Here's some reality:  Think about who we have negotiating nuclear arms deals with terrorists.

Boy we could sure use Mrs. Clinton's reset button now.   uglystupid2

Not fond of nukes ?  OK, I'm fine with a good ole conventional carpet bombing as long as its done correctly.
I just thought a nice layer of glass would look nicer than a bunch of craters.

I find many take things literally. Actually my point was to just say goodbye to Iran and any dealings with them. If we need to get rid of their nuke facilities then we should do so and then leave them alone.

But, the actual point of the post was what that country is doing with the pictures it took of our sailors. Pictures of them crying, on their knees, with hands on their heads.  Yep, they kicked our ass. We lost again.

I don't necessarily think we should be attacking them, at least not yet, but it would be nice if we at least stopped paying them...

Donald and all the other Republican candidates should be using that photo in their campaigns. This is what the Democrats deliver with their foreign policy decisions.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw those pics.  These folks laugh at us and just how insane our leaders are, at least current stooges.

Speaking of political hacks and stooges another oldie but not so goodie surfaced a few days ago.
Madelin Half Bright took the mic and tried to shame woman who did not vote for the beast as having a special place in hell for them.   Remember Ms. Half Bright was the Sec. of State for Bill who negotiated  that great deal with North Korea back in the 90s.  She and Bill assured us our worries of Korea getting the bomb were over.  I forget how many billions we gave them, yada yada yada and other concessions.  We got assurances.  Wasn't that nice.  Just a couple of years later or sooner North Korea unleashed a nuke.  Makes one feel kind of good does it not.  Get that nice warm fuzzy tingle knowing that those fun loving  Ills have a bomb.  Wonder if the Chinese appreciate the Long March Rocket Tech that Bill gave to them back then.  Oh well - they are just a  bunch of fun loving Commies also - nothing to worry about with them.

IT IS TIME FOR SOME REAL DEAL MAKES AND FOLKS THAT PUT THIS COUNTRIES INTEREST FIRST.

I have mixed feelings about using nukes, but I don't necessarily discount another "field test" of a couple, sorta like Japan got at the end of WWII. We have the technology to place them where most needed, a small yield device at gov't. headquarters would be a good start. Then move on to the various  development facilities and take them out, simply put them back a couple hundred years in their technology.

But, it would be better if we had people in charge that knew how to deal with those radicals and would put our country's best interest first. I still like to dream big I guess, maybe Bruce Jenner will donate his two to either Zero or Kerry.  Angry  They probably wouldn't know what to do with them anyway.

With our current mooslim loving prezbro and our lead traitor kerry WHAT else Honestly does anyone expect? kerry showed his TRUE colors in Nam. And if memory serves wasn't saddam hussein hand picked by our very own in house eff ups the C I A? OUR current "leadership"  uglystupid2 is helping to make the U S of A a laughing stock in the eyes of the rest of the world!  Lips Sealed I remember When WE were the 1000 pound gorilla that sat anywhere we cursed well pleased. I see us now as the chimpanzee doing tricks for bananas. And THEN giving the bananas away.  Lips Sealed  What a SHAMEFUL legacy the current crop at deception central is crafting/has crafted.  Cry  RIDE SAFE.

It's a never forget situation for me, I know it may be an embarrassment for our side but it happened. To bury the photo is burying the facts and history. I'm not a politician so my statement may be a bad idea for any campaign but we sweep to much under the rug now IMHO.

I whole heartedly disagree, propaganda works for those who use it, both good guys and bad guys.   Showing Iran for exactly Iran is....................

I'll agree with others that have said the US is a joke to many of it's enemies and friends.
Our lack of strong leadership shows.

I get what ya'll are saying, and the images of these sailors being humiliated by our "ally" would be very powerful. My problem with this usage is concern for the sailor and his family having to have this paraded around any more than it already has been...

There are VERY few situations that I think a nuke is appropriate - and I spent 11 years in the Navy. Even the Russians knew better than to use them casually - or at all !!!.

There is no need for nukes when we can get conventional weapons on target so effectively, and come up with things like bunker busters when necessary.

I spent some time in Strategic Air Command, and they even sent me to school where I studied how we planned to win a nuclear war; and the slowly changing strategies behind nuclear deterrence over the decades.  Visited the first operational missile silo, and rode around the missile fields in the great white north. Learned a little about how they are made, and a bunch about how they are delivered, SIOP, and targeting.

They've been the genie in the bottle since WWII, and it is best they stay in the bottle for as long as possible.  As much as the radical Mohammedans would love to blow one up in NYC or DC or elsewhere, how much sooner would it likely happen if we tripped one or more small tactical nukes off over in the Middle East first?

Collateral damage over the last 20 years over there has probably done more to contribute to US hatred (and their rabid kill them all mentality), than all our good deeds put together.  Even with good and accurate targeting and low yield detonation, collateral damage (instant, and lingering) would be pretty massive in an urban setting.  And whats the point of a nuke against 1-200 men in the desert?

Now if we could do a sting, like the US Marshals inviting 1000 wanted fugitives to a Super Bowl party, only with top Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Iranian Mullahs, ISIS, (and our last two Secretary of States) present, like in a big stadium, then flying a nice nuke Tomahawk in there low and slow would be a marvelous idea.  We could claim one of their own home made bombs brought for display purposes had an accident, and offer a little humanitarian assistance.

I was in HS when the Iran hostage crisis was in its days, before Pres.Reagan was elected. I was in a Catholic HS, but rode a TWP bus to school. On That bus and almost every TWP bus there was a photo of Mickey Mouse giving the finger and the words F-CK IRAN on the bottom. Those pictures were in cars, on work trucks and I once saw a hand drawn one on the back of a tractor trailer but with a roll up door.

Still been decades since then and things haven't changed and will never change.

This is one time that we'll have to agree to disagree.

I don't care how innocent they may look, I don't trust them.

The indoctrination is just too strong, add to that the fact they worship Satan (Allah is Satan) and I can't help but ask,

which of them is the next suicide bomber?
