These endorsements usually do not provide much of a bump ( and often backfire ) at least with Repubs.  Gov. of Iowa came out and said to not vote for Cruz in Iowa because he was not for corn ethanol subsidies.  Oh no say it ain't so.   Cruz went in in second and ended up winning.  I know Ms. Haley is popular in SC however her using the rebuttal to the State of the Union to knock some Repub candidates did not sit all that well since those candidates are currently appx 60 percent of the current vote.  Once a darling of the tea party she has now thrown in with the establishment and the wheels of the bus go round and round.

Supposedly, the negative adds, and attacks on your opponents has been shown to be effective in winning elections.  However, I agree with this.
