I have a feeling this guy is going to be a very rich man. A very simple concept is going to take off.

Beer pouring from the bottom up.

At first glance it seems brilliant and it is.   However cost of that cup is a detriment.

Gosh I love a draft beer, expecially a craft brew.  Great times for a guy like myself.  Tomorrow will be in low 60s here is sw Ohio and promise of abundant sunshine.  Time to jump on the Valk and go find a nice craft beer - but only one

And I hope this works out for this gentleman and he makes big money on it.

You will have to pay for that fancy cup and magnet.  Those game beers already cost too much.

There is a local bar that has this and talking to them the great thing about it is that there is very little waste, they get about 90% of the beer out of a kag of beer so it will pay for its self in the long run and it is cool as hell to see in person....

Selling advertising rights to those little magnets would offset the higher price of the cup...

Doesn't mean they won't increase the already insane price anyway, but the actual cost would easily be offset by letting companies pay to slap their logo there...

Not a beer drinker but, I'm curious as to why this isn't being considered for other drinks besides beer.    Interesting idea.   cooldude

Those were used last year at the Chicago International Motorcycle show.  Lines were much shorter.

They didn't use them this and I think the beer was $1.00 more this year.

Some really good ideas above.  Now for a private, public bar this guy should develop his own reusable glass or reusable plastic.  You can use magnetized food grade stainless steel and cost becomes much more manageable and the waste saved is huge.

When I was in Las Vegas for a conference last year these were everywhere in the walking mall area. I liked it a lot. The type of idea that can make the inventor a lot of money.

Remember, you're talking about venues that are charging astronomical prices for a cup of beer to begin with.  A nickel more won't hurt their business.  Also, the washers are extremely thin and the cost will be minimum as millions of cups will be purchased keeping it at pennies a cup.

I saw this several years ago at a Liquor Show...

$3400 for a 4 tap/beer dispenser.... great for a Stadium, but for your local Bar with 12 taps....  $10,800.... Plus installation.... Plus Cups..... So figure $1000 per tap

Your Average Bar wastes 5-10% on a keg as it is... so they already get the yield he is toting.... I have a couple of Bars doing better than that.

The main thing is the speed.

I have one Bar I audit that has 130 taps......they waste on average 7% about $150 per week..... It would cost them $110,000 plus installation...at that rate they would break even after 736 weeks....about 14 years.... not a good investment

SO I can see it for large venues with limited selection.. but not for your local bar...

Love the idea.

But with Vancouver trying to even get rid of disposable paper cups for coffee, how is this plastic cup with metal going to fair?
