There are many great Sheriffs in this country.  Most people except locals do not know about them.   One that comes to mind is Sheriff David A. Clarke in Milwaukee.  Of course Sheriff Joe in Maricopa County.  Another great one in just south of me in Butler County, OH.  Many Many of them.  They get things done.  Why?   These men are elected and not just appointed as a political hack by the bigger city mayors that are clueless on how to achieve crime results through either incompetance, or an opposing  political agenda because they do not want to call it for what it is.
