weekend at Hubcap's Ponderosa......he said he's got 40+ tons of gravel to be spread at various locations around the grounds.......I've only done a few small jobs so far....my Wife's last Grandmother fell right after Christmas......was hospitalized and never made it back home.....she passed away last Tuesday....... :'( :'(....and the Wife is the executor of the will and all that entails....got a BIG house to get cleaned out and squared away before it can be sold....none of the Family wants to live in it....Family stuff comes before work stuff......especially these days (for me)......

It's supposed to be a warm weekend, perfect for riding....or "tractoring"... time for some payback......Mike's helped me MANY times in the past to keep the Big Green Dragon in tip top shape...... cooldude......I just have to remember to add DIESEL to the Lil Orange Wonder....... Cheesy Cheesy

Looks like some Oconee County crusher run....Could have possibly been shot by the Detn8er.  Wink
Now every time you drive across it you will think of me.......  2funny
Just so's you knows Oconee County produces CRUSHED STONE.....NOT GRAVEL.  Smiley
Don't forget to go VOTE today before you start the great stone dispersing activity.  cooldude

The road is holding up great so far.

Here's Stanley getting started the first morning... it had got so rough here
that the Mini would bottom out going through here... we filled the dished
out places with "twos and threes"... that's my neighbor's place on the left,
us on the right and straight ahead... the chairs are where I sat and watched
Stanley work cooldude

This has been a terrible place on the right-of-way for a long time... it's
a deep mud-hole when it rains, and the lady way down at the end
has to drive through it to get anywhere... that's us on the right again,
same neighbor on the left, the ex-mud-hole lady is way off around
several more curves...

We covered the mud hole twos and threes and the Mini-bottoming
twos and threes with crusher-run. After raining all day, there's
a puddle of water covering the rightmost third of this, but it is
not a mud hole, just water over granite...

We spread an equal amount of crusher run and "56"... the twos
and threes came from a similar pile that the lady at the end
of the road already had on hand. We used all of this...

Here's the crusher-run spreader...

His equipment is small, but it does big work, and bigger machines would have
been a disadvantage at my place...

The tractor could turn around on a dime (my narrow driveway) and the
truck didn't tear off limbs from my trees when he lifted the bed...

I bet this guy could spread/dump like Stanley, but so much for the arching
canopy over my driveway and right-of-way that I've been nurturing for years...

It's nice to live in the country, although at times like these,  is good to have close friends to help you out for doing all that by wheelbarrow by yourself would be months of hard work.

Even cutting down my huge lilac bush with roots and all was a 4 hour project could have been done in 30 minutes or less with the 'right' tools.  The limbs/branches were not an issue taking less than an hour with a bow saw, but the root ball was big enough to barely roll it around about 3x3' in diameter.  I still have that root ball in my backyard was too lazy to roll it and attempt to lift it in my truck bed or on the trailer taking for sure 2 if not 3 people to lift it off the ground.

I too agree that the tractor was bigger looking in previous pics but once shown with an operator on it,  looks much smaller, but like said, still gets the job done.

But Mike said your equipment is small, and we all know size matters!  I do seem to recall that we were pretty evenly matched in the Bellys of jelly competition though.
