Yes,

I am a 9th generation to the studebaker cars but I have to part ways with my cars due to finding a 1967 Buick Wildcat convertible with 47k original miles and a 1 owner car.  This car is turn key and go.  I would have a lot of work to do to get these two cars done so I am hoping to find a good home to these cars and all the parts I have collected over the years.  It is possible that they may be going to Georgia.

I will be keeping my 47 studebaker truck and will have the buick, as well.

Nice Wildcat   cooldude

I just transported a 55 Desoto to New Jersey, followed that with a 39 Ford and a 55 Corvette to FL.
If you need any help getting them somewhere, I might be able to help.    Been looking for a reason to come back to KS anyway.

Once upon a long time ago I owned a 60 Buick 2 door with a 455 under the hood. Pass EVERYTHING but a gas station! Like your Buick much better. RIDE SAFE.

I have a soft spot for Buicks too, I want a 65 Rivera but I'm getting to old to think about restorations and not sure I'll be able to afford a nice example. I'm sure you will enjoy your Wildcat.

Nice looking Wildcat. I've got a '68 Olds "98" convertible which my dad bought new. I've had it for about 20 years now. These old cars had a personality of their own unlike most cars these days.

Drive it,enjoy it and have fun in it. When you're done pass it along to someone else that will do the same to keep it alive.

Good luck

This car was 3 blocks from my house.  I was on my way home last Friday morning and stopped to tell him he had a nice car.  He said,  thanks you want to buy it?  His dad bought it new in 67 and he had the original title.  I looked it up and it goes for 10k to 30k. I took him $4500 in a cashier check and it's mine.  It's am amazing car.

Dad bought a Olds 88 with the Rocket 455 in it while I was in high school, late 60's or so.  The car was a TANK, but that engine, wow!

hope the investment pays off for you and it doesn't take much moola to get it back in tip top shape and it creates a healthy profit for you down the line.

never had a muscle car or for that matter and older car, but my dad surely wishes he kept his 57' chevy back in the day.  Who knew back then what these old cars will fetch in today's market?

That sir is an amazing convertible. I should know. I have a 1965 Buick Wildcat Convertible. Red with a black top. I see you have the rallye rim package. My mother bought this convertible in 1965 brand new. My parents got married in 1967 and went on their honeymoon with it. The sold it in 1970 to start the family. A Couple out in Iowa bought it and had it for 30 years. Then a collector down in Florida bought it as a project car in 2000. I found the bill of sale with the VIN number in some old records and it tracked to to the collector in Florida. I called him up and asked if he had a 1965 Buick Wildcat Convertible in his garage and he said " Yes! How do you know??" I asked him if he had the owners manual because if he did he would find my mothers name and address in the Buick Protecto-Plate in the back of it. He found it and called me back with GREAT NEWS!!!!!! I then asked how much would he like so I can bring it back into my family. I bought it sight unseen and then surprised my father with a road trip down to Miami Florida. My father had no idea what I had planned and he kept asking questions on the way down from Virginia. The next day I took my dad for a drive and when we started going through some neighborhoods he spotted the Wildcat sitting in the driveway. He about broke his neck when we passed by it. He said the mom used to have a car just like it. I turned around parked in the driveway and said " Lets go take a look at it!!!! " I knocked on the door and the man walked right up to my father with keys and hand and said " Congratulations on your new purchase!!!! " My dad was so happy when he pulled out of the driveway with the convertible top down!!!! I still remember him smiling driving up I-95 with people honking and pointing at the Wildcat. Got it home with a broken rocker arm and have been restoring it ever since. We named the Wildcat " Frances " after my mother and my father enjoyed the Wildcat every day up until his passing. Our last ride together before cancer took him was up to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for some Original Glaze and a trip to the cemetary to visit my mother. Great memories.......RIP MOM & DAD. I miss you and Love you so very much

No.  Studebaker is not because he had the cars.  It's his name.

How the heck I missed this thread I dont know

BigCountry that is a great story  and you did good by your dad

I built a few models of wildcats as a kid  either 67 or 69

Was really into building car models from those $2 kits and painting them as a 10-12 yr old,

Any recent pics of the car after restoration or, is it not done yet?

I had an opportunity to go to Detroit last week to retrieve a 66 Wildcat, the owner was going to get back with me if he couldn't find a cheaper way to get it.   I don't mind, didn't really want to go to Detroit anyway.   Wink   I've felt the need to open carry in three cities since I started transporting.   Once in Louisville, once in Detroit and once in Chicago.   There are  neighborhoods in every city where I don't feel as safe, those places cost a whole lot more for me to return to.   angel
