Paint code ??

My 98 Valk has a paint code of NH1. Colorite shows Honda blk as NH1Z. I can't find plain NH1 so is NH1Z the same color as NH1??

NH1 is what the code inside my bike says didnt ask my painter what black paint code he used but it is black

I cannot answer Sandy, but my oft used painter told me all (plain) black was black.  No flakes, no pearl, no tints, just black.  (My black interstates are just black, and I think all Valk black is just black... there is pearl in a number of other colors).

Now 20 yo black may look a bit different than brand new black, but that is not a shading/paint code difference.  And I don't think the computer matching systems are good enough to capture a shade for 20yo black, and it would be a mistake to try.

He did some OE Yami hardbags black to match the wife's bike.  There was just a hint of gold flake in the Yami bike paint, so added some to the bags.  He just used plain black auto paint on hand, not Yami paint.  It was a perfect match.... albiet 6-7 years newer paint.

Black is black, but all blacks are not the same. That's because all blacks aren't all black.

Also some true blacks would be deeper because of the amount of pigment used or the fineness of the pigment powder used, etc.
