For the first time in 10 years, he asked a question directed to Obama's  Justice Dept attorney.

The case involved two men who mistreated their wives, convicted of a misdemeanor, and were denied gun ownership forever.  His question was some thing like " Does a misdemeanor crime take away a Constitutional Right?

Our beloved Congress passed this law.  It probably has produced problems for LEO's who bring their frustrations home because of arseholes like Sharpton.

I would hope that Thomas will be more pushy now. I have a lot of respect for Thomas. The fact that he asked this question might show that he is tired of the way things are going.. This could have repercussions. Right now, if a veteran is deemed by the VA not fit to manage his financial affairs  he/she can be reported to the FBI and put on the list as ineligible to buy a firearm.   BTW the POTUS wants to do the same to everyone, so far, the lame brainers in Congress haven't tried that yet.

Now if the screwed up afraid of their own shadow Repubs keep the POTUS from putting in a bleeding heart "the Constitution is a Living document" liberal in the SCOTUS , maybe things will work out better.

Good to see him step up, hope he's able to hold the line.

This is an example of what we're facing, I saw this meme in several left leaning groups I keep an eye on shortly after the passing of Justice Scalia:

They showed several nice tweets on the news after Scalia passed away that referenced Thomas.

I believe one said "Clarence Thomas should be next"  and 'You're Next Clarence Thomas", etc.  They should be so proud.

I read the briefs.  Thomas got the woman attorney from Obama DOJ squirming.  After she was asked about why a misdemeanor would deprive a person of his Second Amendment Rights, she couldn't answer except to say Congress passed the law.
She was then asked by Thomas whether a publisher who committed a misdemeanor by ruining a persons reputation could lose his First Amendment rights and she more or less said no, not permanently.

I no longer have any use for these 'progressive liberals"  They are just more polished than Trump in their verbal expressions.

I read Clarence Thomas's biography.  He is similar to Dr. Carson in his 'bringing up' and beliefs. As a result both just don't fit in with the image that the Dems want to push.
