At least not any news I've seen lately.  Just happened to stumble on this yesterday.

https://weather.com/news/news/tennessee-rockslide-interstate-75-campbell-county

Will be heading north on 75 the end of March and hoping this is resolved by then or looking for an alternate route.

This will be major with spring break coming up quickly.

It was covered locally and they indicate about 5-7 day closure.

That's certainly good o know.  The little coverage I've read says it will be "weeks" before it is open again.....one report said it will remain closed "indefinitely".   That can't be good!!

26 mile detour long as you AIN'T an oversize load!  crazy2 That's exit to exit-the actual detour will be longer.  Sad  Those side roads will NOT be fun in an 18 wheeler and will add to the travel time for EVERYONE!  Lips Sealed Once they start removing the initial slide more slides will develop.  Undecided My guess-2 to 3 weeks to get it open again.  tickedoff RIDE SAFE.

old2soon wins should have south bound in 2 weeks and 3rd week will get 1 north bound. At least that's what the contract reads. It ain't news......It happens all the time and I commute between Williamsburg and LaFollette weekly  tickedoff At least this time they are spreading the detour and TRYING to prevent big rigs from taking 25W. North bound - Sending them up 63 to catch 25E instead. South bound takes 297 in Jellico to pioneer and gets back on the 141 exit on I75.

When we were staying in Shelbyville Ky Sunday night I saw this on the Weather Channel - expected opening date Mar 21 - until then - expect a detour.

Something similar in this neck of the woods took place 3 or 4 years ago, except I-75 itself washed out.  There was a 20 something mile detour in same area then I got onto twice.  That one lasted a couple months or more.  Hope they get this done in 2 for fine folks in so. Ky and No. Tn

TDOT Awards Emergency Contract For I-75 Rockslide Repair In Campbell County
Monday, February 29, 2016
The Tennessee Department of Transportation on Monday awarded an emergency contract to repair a rockslide on Interstate 75 in Campbell County. The slide, which occurred Friday at mile marker 142, sent vehicle-sized rocks falling onto both the north and southbound lanes of I-75.

The $2.9 million contract was awarded to Charles Blalock and Sons, Inc. The contract includes removal of the slide debris, stabilization of the existing slope, and repairs to the interstate. The contract also stipulates the southbound lanes of I-75 will be reopened within 14 days, and one lane on the northbound side within 21 days.
