Last Saturday, on the 12th, I was able to put 150 miles on the Valk testing the new cruise control. Today we woke up to this. Normally beautiful but after getting a taste of the 2016 riding season, it's a bummer...

Last part of January and 3 weeks into February we had a bit of above normal temps, no moisture. Got in a lot of riding. Then March hit us, came in like a lion. Lots of moisture, dumped feet of snow in the high country, more wind that we needed. Thanks to the warmer temps, nothing stuck to town level. But couldn't ride. After two weeks it has now cleared up. But still can't ride, cause I am a 1000 miles from home.

give it a week or two, it will melt and be ready for spring, HOPEFULLY by April 1st?? I got out for 1 day last weekend when in the 50's, but seems soooo long ago. Welcome to WI/MN/ND/MI, etc. weather. I have not taken off the snow tires off both our FWD vehicles quite yet, maybe next weekend if gets back into the mid 50's again??? As long as low temps are still hovering around that freezing mark, might as well leave them on until pushing 60 for a high, NOT like though more than 5-8 days this winter we really needed to help drive using snow tires this very mild winter ONLY had one 8" snowfall to speak of the other couple only 2-3 inches is all. I cannot recollect a more mild or should I say near SNOW FREE winter ever.

Didn't get as much up North as you did Bob but I still have to remind my self it's only March. Hope you'll be doing a write up on the cruise control.

Well I got pi$$ed over nothing. That wet stuff was gone in a day of temperatures just above freezing.
Ramie, I'm still planning on doing a write up of the Rostra 250 install on a Tourer. I gave it a lot of thought during the install, taking a lot of pictures in the process. But right now, I am finding it difficult to spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen. Other things have priority...

holy cow batman, just saw for this coming thursday 5-8" of snow coming our way. I hope the weather forecaster's are off once again on this forecast 4 days away or so. At least I can run out all my OLD gas in my 3 snowblowers for the end of the season. Probably a good idea to run some seafoam and/or stabil in there as well running the carb dry since hoping to be the last snow of this spring. Didn't spring start already??

I was supposed to pick up my new Wing yesterday. On I90 they were dumping pure salt on the road to clear it. Paid for the bike, dealer said he would bring it here with his enclosed trailer tomorrow so it would not get road salt all over it. I am blaming the snow on the delivery date for my bike. PS they are saying up to 16 inches in SEMN this week depending on the storm track. Be a while before I get to enjoy my new ride.

Now predicting 10 to 16 inches of new snow today and tonight. Snow has started two hours before it was predicted. Yesterday, I managed to take short rides on a nearby hilly road to fine tune to Rostra cruise control, but further riding will have to wait. Will be changing oil and coolant as well as syncing carbs with the DigiSync that I got for Christmas...

Well what's it going to be. Which set of handlebars do I get behind? The 100hp Valk or the 11hp Husqvarna? This morning it has to be the latter. I'm just glad that neither the motorcycle nor the snowblower are wimps. We got 10" of heavy snow over night and our 200' long driveway that expands to 60' wide requires some serious equipment...

at least glad you are getting some use this spring NO less out of that 11 hp husky. More than I have all winter long only one 8" snowfall is all with a few other 1-3" snowfalls is all.
I have 3 very used snowblowers from the 70's and 80's at my beckoning all in my garage but NO use for them much at all this winter. I will have to drain the gas out of them and run them dry for the gas is too old already.
That is a lot of snowblowing for such a long driveway and very wide as well, I'd be getting a snowplow with an ATV to make quicker work of such long stretches.
