I might have spoke to soon about voting for Joe.

I based my opinion on his treatment of convicted prisoners.

After doing a check on wekipidia, it seems Sheriff Joe has many, many skeletons in his rather large closet.

I still feel he treats convicts they way they should be and it seems the citizens of Maricopa County agree.

Sheriff Joe doesn't have a problem with the people having guns.  After the San Bernardino Islamic terrorist attack, he was advocating that anyone with a gun, carry it when they're out and about since the police can't be everywhere.

Ah gotcha... yeah, the quote was about prison, and in prison, only law enforcement have guns...

As far as Sheriff Joe himself, he's VERY pro 2nd amendment... Other than for guests of his prison of course.

Read an article some time back how Sheriff Joe had no T Vs in his jail and that some prisoners were housed in tents sans T V and Radio. I believe the a c l u was up in arms over dat! Sheriff Joe and Nugent YYUUUUUUPP!  AND if it is them-all them sonsabitches would be lookin fer Non extradition countries!  Them S O Bs bein the current crop of uncharged felons in deception central!  RIDE SAFE.
