Between weather, work and personal issues I was finally able to bring my new bike home yesterday. (I actually purchased it in December.) It was a brisk 36 degrees, but with the heated seat, grips and foot warmers it was an awesome 55 mile trip home from my dealer. Cruise control is something that I have never had on a bike before and after that short trip is now a must have!

We went to pick up the bike at Lake City Honda in Warsaw, Indiana and the bike was sparkling, freshly polished with the new Honda Glare product. The dealer went thru and explained every system in the bike, set up my navigation and satellite radio preferences and made sure that all my questions were answered before I left. Great experience, I would not even consider purchasing from another dealer.

Brought her home and the afternoon was spent adding Kuryakyn mini boards and various other farkles. Looking forward to a great riding season and seeing family again at InZane!

Congrats again, Dave. Heated grips are one of the best additions I've ever made to a bike. But I didn't know foot warmers even existed.

Good luck on a long, happy relationship!

Nice,  my new favorite OEM color combo by far, love the red/black with blacked out/non chrome appearance.

question:  doesn't it come std. from factory with OEM front foglights, I would have thought so?

What about upfront hwy. pegs?  Can you get them blacked out as well?

What does heated footpegs do besides warm the bottom of the shoes/boots, wouldn't think they would do much good unlike useful heated grips, but could be wrong?

Looks to be a few more weeks of cold weather snap before spring finally arrives, suppose to be a cold snap coming early April - ARRRRGGHHHH!!   Cry

On my wing there is a lever you pull that opens a vent that allows heat from the exhaust to blow back onto your feet. Not an electric heated footpeg.

Cookie,
Thanks for the comments, I really like the no chrome look as well. Pretty much if it isn't red or black it isn't going on the bike.
You would have thought it came with factory foglights but alas it did not. Probably going with the LED's from SoCal Moto. Kuryakyn black highway pegs in short order also. As far as the foot heaters, as explained above there is a dash control that opens up a vent that diverts exhaust heat to the feet. Seemed to work quite well.

I've seen a couple up here that color and I think it really makes the bike an eye catcher!  cooldude

give us a few pics once the add ons are completed.

As said, I do like the color combo non chrome look, wish Honda would do more of it.  I saw one on the showroom floor last spring and although was very nice,  the 22K price tag sort of scared me away - OUCH.    Even though the red is a decent color,  I think the red could be just a shade darker maroon reddish color vs. the medium red on there now.

I sure hope the misses enjoys it but if not,  let us all know we can take it off your hands easy enough....    Grin

Can't wait in another 8-10 years down the road when there are hopefully some good used ones for the 10-13K price range in that color combo.

Is the paint "tougher" than on the F6B's?

The paint is a metal flake so I  am hoping  it has a clear coat that will help. It has had two coats of the new Honda Glare product which is also supposed to help with swirling and scratches.

Go ahead & put 5 or 6 coats of this on it & you'll never hafta worry about it.

I'm about to hafta have a new chrome lower cowl & it will have 10 coats of Liquid Glass on it before it goes on the bike. One coat a day, out in the sun everyday, for ten days.
Should turn small rock chips!

I have the same bike (same colors too) and put on Kuryakan Egro III highway pegs. They come in a blacked out version and are spring loaded like the Mick-O-Pegs. So far I really like them.

I've got about 3000 miles on it now. Foot heaters really work well as do the seat heaters. The grip heaters are little weak compared to the hot grips I had on my 2001 I/S.

I will never learn all the tricks on the Navigation system!

Nice bike.  Perfect pickup distance and weather.

If the cruise has a delay there is a cable adjustment that can help reduce/remove it.

There is an adapter to enhance the heated seats/grips.  I think EC sells it.

Congrats

Have been wondering what to do about pegs. Would you share a picture or two of your ergo 111's?

Wow! Dave, that is one beautiful bike, you deserve it.   All the farkles will make it even more enjoyable, especially the cruise.  I had cruise on my '91 Aspencade and missed it when I had the Valkyrie.
