Well, I finally gave up on hunting down an old school Hannigan fairing for my 98 Valk standard. I ordered a Wide Open Customs fairing and a pair of Freedom Wings. I was hoping to put my speedo and tach in the fairing, but that's probably not an option.

I didn't order a stereo or speakers though. I decided to pick my own.
Any suggestions? What if I don't use a marine stereo, and just put in a really good car stereo? Will the rain kill it?

How come you decided against the JVC marine radio an speaker option ?  $150 seems like a good price. Also for me I think the Sirius XM for $75 would be nice. I couldn't find a picture of the Freedom Wings. Are those fork air deflectors ?

i mainly want to play stuff from my phone or tablet, and that JVC is a pretty old one. I want a head unit that has Android Auto, and Apple Car Play. i'm sure I can find a marine unit, but there are some pretty nice car stereos out right now.

I bought a Woodys and installed this.

I didn't want to use CD's and this blue tooths to phones perfectly. It's mounted completely under the fairing, the control is mounted under the left hand grip with a bracket i made and i can control it with out removing my hand from the grip. Volume is great no trouble hearing it on the freeway.
I just use my phone for tunes either MP3 or Iheart Radio. I mounted the gauges into Woodys.
