He was a St. Louis Mo. area Ride Captain and according to the info I was able to gather he was on a mission during an escort when a cage turned in front of him. We Missouri Ride Captains WERE going to have our State meeting April 2 in Jefferson City Mo. but in deference  to the passing of this Missouri Ride Captain we have rescheduled for May 7. I was on a mission today in Eminence  Mo. on Mo. 19 South from the Funeral Home to the cemetery and a North bound car had stopped and the other North bound car was ALMOST too late with the brakes judging by the amount of tire screeching I heard in my cage. Guys and Gals if they are taking us out in the middle of an escort what kind of chance do we have running by ourselves and in small groups?? Another Bro down because of a dumb assed cage driver!  Cry As an aside I'm going to Miami Oklahoma 2moro for the recovered remains of a Korean War Army Veteran who was flown into Tulsa this past Friday and will be buried with Full Military Honor in Seneca Mo. Tuesday 29 March 2016. I will TRY to be careful but as we are aware of as Riders it ain't always up to us!  uglystupid2 To all my Brothers and Sisters on this board-RIDE SAFE-PLEASE.

Sorry for the loss! It's spring here and people here don't pay attention to motorcycles until about the middle of June. I will run at least a half dozen car / motorcycle accidents until that time. Most will be inattentiveness from intersections but some will be riders fault as well. Crotch rockets will be out goin like hell and they make up a big share of our involvement.

Dennis, I read about this yesterday with great sadness. This should NEVER happen in the line of performing this valuable Service.

May he RIP!

I hate hearing this, so senseless.
There is an older Korean war vet that visits my shop and occasionally needs signs for his van or a banner for a fundraiser. He heads up the Honor Guard at all the Vets funerals locally and transports vets to hospitals in the area on his own dime. He looks in on veterans he knows have little means or anyone to care for them. I contribute a few dollars to him to support his work and thank him each time. He allows me to put a very small tribute to my Pop, a WWII and Korea vet in the corner of the banners I donate.

I would like to thank you O2S for your service and your mission work. I know your mind & heart is on your mission, so take extra care.

That's horrible.
Ride like they're out to get you,,,,,,,,,,they are.
How sad to ride for a Vet to begin with. Now to ride for a ride Captain is just beyond the pale.
I'll suppose he to is a Vet.

Thanks for posting the link Russ. On todays mission we had a moment of silence for Mark and added an extra Prayer for him and his family. This hurts more when It's one of our own-P G R. Maybe I'm too vindictive but I hope the lady that Killed/murdered/eliminated Mark-there are NO other words for it-goes away for a long cursed time! RIDE SAFE.

Just wow... No charge for woman who struck and killed Patriotic Guard ride Captain Mark Schroeder.

Without knowing the details, it's hard to say if she was distracted or other.

But it's also sad there will be no consequences at all.

On a P G R mission in Waynesville Mo. last year an eerily similar thing almost took out a P G R Ride Captain on his Trike. I was 2 bikes behind Doc when the female got her green and took Doc almost to the curb-BUT here's da kicker-Doc was close to the L E O Squad which was a lit up at the time. We were less than a mile from the Veterans Cemetery when this happened.  Lips Sealed I wonder if the family of Mark in St Louis Mo. could bring a wrongful death suit against this women AND BE successful? Every time I hear about a motorcyclist being KILLED and then NO charges brought against the doer I'm feeling more and more EXPENDABLE.  Undecided AND AND I should NOT feel like that-EXPENDABLE.  Cry I really DO NOT care what color you are or if yer female or male BUT Motorcyclist's Lives MATTER. RIDE SAFE.
