(also posted on the SoCal board, but that doesn't seem to get much traffic)

Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations on a shop in SoCal (L.A. San Gabriel valley area) that will mount a car tire if I bring them my rear wheel.  It's time for new tires on the Mothership before I head to Inzane and I think it's finally time to go Darkside.  I'll be using the Hankook Optima h426.

Many thanks.

Ride Safe,

If you are up to 6 hours across the desert, I will even throw in some Counteract beads. Maybe a beer or 2 would be the charge.  Smiley

I wish I could but I only have 2 scheduled days off between now and when I leave for Inzane and those are for my wife's birthday.

cooldude you might try Craigslist . There is a guy here that occasionally advertises that he mounts tires locally.

Have you tried your local Honda shop? Mine did it without batting an eye...

I would expect that you could find something local.  The Gold Wing riders have gone to Walmart and had car tires mounted for a very low price.

If you get into a bind, I can help, but I live in San Luis Obispo.

Alien,

I kicked around for 6 months trying to find a ma and pop shop around eastern Iowa that would install a CT, finally found a guy on craigslist with an add for changing motorcycle tires out of his garage.

Although it was 1.5 hour drive he installed my CT on my wing for me for 20$ and balanced it.

Might be a long shot but give craigslist a try
