I made up a tutorial for posting pictures to the VRCC. I know there are some members who would love to share their pictures as much as the rest of us would like to see them but they don't quite know how to go about it.

This tutorial is based on using Photobucket to store your pictures on. I have no affiliation other than being a satisfied user. It's a free service and they are generous in the amount of storage you can use.  Ok, let's get started.

You WILL need to create an account with Photobucket. It's easy and you can even use a Facebook login if you prefer.  Once you have your account, log in to Photobucket and you should see a screen that looks like the following. It will be a blank canvas awaiting you to upload photos from your computer.

Nice job wiggy  :cooldude: Did you base that on your tutorial "Pics for Dummies" that you did for me ?  :2funny:

There are no dummies in here---at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.  :D

I'm working off an I-pad is that why I can't seem to do this?

jdp,  good question. I have an Android phone and Windows computer. I would think it would work the same way though. Do you get all the way through the process or does one of the steps not come up like in the tutorial? If you could narrow it down a bit, perhaps myself or someone else with Apple products could chime in.

Thanks!

It's definetly harder with an iPad . At least for me. I have found with the iPad it's easier to not click on the IMG button, but select the whole address next to it. Then it gives you the option to copy it. From there it's just the regular paste.  :cooldude:

Very cool. Thanks for helping out, Rob. Hopefully, your method works for jdp.

mello dude

Lots of times it is a good idea to save you pics on your PC hard drive and then resize them before you upload.

Am I misunderstanding the terms & conditions on Photo Bucket? The only account/subscription which allows 3rd party hosting is $399 per year? What's the least expensive option or service available to share pictures here on the VRCC?

They changed a few months back. Most have walked away from photobucket. I am using post image.org.  :cooldude:
