T Bird has graciously agreed to allow for me to care for his 1999 Interstate .
New to me.
Thanks to Skinhead and Binkee for all their help getting her moved.

Got her home past midnight and getting her unloaded was an adventure in the late season snow and ice storm.

Already ordered parts from pinwall to customize, got a list of mods I want for cruisin to Morgantown. Caint wait cooldude

you need to ditch those wimpy ramps and get a pair of these arched steel ones by ohio steel industries like I did - you will NOT break them and have some grip to them won't slide around.

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_545_545

Will last the rest of your life for sure and they fold up fitting inside a 6 1/2 bed no problems

I load my 800lb. atv into truck bed or wherever plus me being 280lbs fairly easily by myself  It looks scarier than it really is doing it, but is not that bad in reality.

I was wondering how the "unload" went.  Looks like it was an interesting one. Nothing like leaving on a beautiful sunny day and driving into a sh*tstorm on your way home. That is one nice bike Terry sold you....I'm sure it was a hard decission to part with it.

Congrats on the new ride!!

I'd like to know the story behind bending that ramp.

I have a set of the same ones and they've been great.

It's Skinkhead's fault. He applied a bit of "Steeler Engineering" to an otherwise functional ramp (jk, Bro)... Roll Eyes
Seriously, we were tired, It was late, dark, cold, windy, & wet, so we flipped the ramp downside up to create a channel to prevent the tires from slipping off  uglystupid2
Kickstand spring got caught whilst rolling the bike back, LuLu & Joe had to scramble to free it. I was astride the bike with the rear tire on the ramp and the front still on the truck bed when the ramp collapsed under me Shocked
In the end we got her safely stowed, but I realize now that the ramp was not intended to be used that way. You can see its folded the wrong way. Rated @ 1000 lbs, it was at its max, but I never had an issue with them when used as designed.
As Roger said, "Oh crap!"   tickedoff
It was a bit hairy hanging half way off with nothing under me holding the fat girl up for a while!

Yeah, for now at least.
Victory has me spoiled with cruise, tunes, heated grips & seats, storage...

Got to get new Interstate miles in and set her up my way. Saddle , tunes, electrical mods top the list. Couple of cosmetic items in the works as well. Until then I'll have 3 plated bikes this year.

Batting order is:
a) Victory now (cold weather)
2) Set up the new Interstate - ready for WV
c) Valk Standard will be work commuter, especially in hot weather
5) Valk STD prolly stored in Fall
e) Think about selling Victory
7) Think about keeping Victory  coolsmiley

My favorite bike is the one I'm on at the moment
