I am going to ride my Valkyrie to the liquor store. I like good whiskey and have been wanting to try
Elmer T Lee. Have any of you drunk Lee and how did you like it? I remember drinking some Colonel Lee bourbon long ago and I liked it pretty well. I also want to try Woodford one day and if I ever have the chance I would love to try Pappy Van Winkle.

Elmer T Lee is fantastic and one of the best values out there. Van Winkle is great 10 and 12yr...all the Van Winkle is hard to find..not sure if it's worth the extra$$$ for the Pappy 15, 20,23 yrs.

another outstanding bourbon is Colonel EH Taylor Jr, single barrel...very hard to find but worth every hard earned $

I saw a bottle of Pappy for almost 3000 bucks on their website.  Just a bit too much for my budget, although I'm sure my taste would approve.  Smiley

Had some Weller Friday night. It was pleasant but Clyde Mays is still my number one.

However right now I wanted a little sweet so Watkins Select Maple Bourbon with a little dash of Southshot in. Southshot is a tad harsh for my palate so I have to use the maple to mask the taste.

Plus a hooking great big ice ball.

Visited here just over a week ago whilst on a coupla day ride.

http://www.moonrisedistillery.com/

Their bourbon is OK . If I had to put it in a top ten it would be around 9 or 10.

The rye is not to my taste.

We tasted the full strength 60% moonshine. It was good. The finished 45% product should be available in a few weeks.

This is a very small distillery. The bottling line fills 4 bottles in 3 seconds.

Moonrise is in Clayton GA.

Same side of the road as Wal Mart and one road north.
