The 20th Annual Gatherin' "O" the Fools was a great success!!!!
A special thanks to Ray Johnson, Troy Caniff, Russell Stevenson, and Andy Clauder, Victor, Jimmy Turner, Raymond Tole and Paula, , Joe Valk, and ALL the other folks that helped with : cookin, cuttin, setup and cleanup!!!!!
Talking with some folks, they asked if I had any sponsors for the BBQ and I said 'no' but it was brought to my attention that EVERYONE that came was a sponsor!!!
Thanks to the generous folks that came .... kicked tires, told lies , ate BBQ, and gave from their hearts............
Y'all raised $4100 for the kids to go to the Texas Lions Camp !!!!!! You can follow this link to see what your generous gifts do!!!!

FABULOUS party and chow!  Great to see my extended family again.  First time for me, I'm hoping this wasn't the last.  What a wonderful shindig and KUDOS to HotGlue and FlamingoBabe!  WAYTAGO!  Brisket Perfection - it should everywhere be so good!!  You sir, are the ACME of The Renaissance Man.  I'm VERY IMPRESSED. This was my first gathering and an unforgettable one. I saw old friends and made new friends. It was a pleasure to meet Hotglue and his wife. No one told me eating Marks BBQ would ruin me! It was so good that I will have to go back to get good BBQ.

Thanks for the sticker Hotglue! I will proudly proclaim that you gave it to me.

Already looking forward to next year.

We are so pleased that Y'all came and passed a good time...  this year was the 20th annual.....  if you would have asked me Sunday morning if there would be another....Aw HELL NO....  but everything is cleaned up... didn't take long.... my friends don't make a mess..LOL...  and I got some much needed sleep.... so ... I'm good to go!!!!!  next year April 1st.... Q at my house!

HG & FB,

Whenever I think of Texas and all the good things that go with it (have I ever mentioned that I love the Republic?), a mental picture of the two of you appears before my mind's eye. Yep, y'all epitomize all that Texas means to me... and more. Always a high point of my year to drop by for a visit. I'm delighted to hear there will be another GOTF! I think Serk said it best, though... and I completely agree with him!!!

I don't mean to be overly corrective, but what Mark and Charlyne (sp?) do is much closer to heaven than to hell.  I would be much happier with, "Heavens, yes!" and I will indeed plan on being a fool again next April.   cooldude
