That's awesome you guy's!  You know it doesn't take that much to help. I was looking at how many time this thread has been viewed (273 times) thus far. I'm not saying this to try and guilt (or whatever word you want to use) into donating, but, at $10 a view we would have donated $2730 and it would be painless. I don't know what it costs a month to live down there but maybe that amount would get them through a month. I wish we could do a VRCC donation in a lump sum as a competition with the VR forum! Anyway, I know that any donation will be a big help!!! Thanks again everyone! |

Terry, youda man, again... The VR folks were generous in helping reunite ALI and me, and that has not been forgotten. Still, it was YOU who bridged the gap between disparate groups that likely would not have been in touch. Again, you are bridging that gap, only in the reverse direction this time. It's good that members of the biking community can reach out to each other this way... Makes a body feel good. Thanks, Terry, for being you!

Update this morning from Dave! Dave's latest Facebook post (but don't think he doesn't still need us):
"Big week for this guy. Thursday I spend several hours in the University Of Mn for Gamma Ray as well as other tests. This is kind of a "clean up" after all the brain surgery a week and a half a go. My overall health has improved a LOT since the surgery. 10 pounds up and feeling pretty darn good (considering). I got peeps (including you all) taking care of me so I haven't had to worry financially. God has been incredibly special and loving to me, as late. Yep...a BIG week...and one that should prove that the cancer stuff is FINALLY out of me. A week from today I start speech and occupational therapy right in my hometown here so they can get my brain re-adjusted. Seriously, I got this...and it is for NUMEROUS reasons. Thank you for being there for me....I can't even BEGIN to show my level of appreciate for you all. Love you like a brother." |

From Dave this morning ........ Dent. Yep....just what I felt like when they strapped this thing to my skull. I'm pretty non-squeamish but this thing REALLY creeped me out. In fact, I had to take full meds that basically knocked me out for a few hours that day. I know it was all for the common good but......yuck. When they were wrenching that thing into the 4 points of my skull....uggggg. I don't complain much about what I have had to deal with...just doesn't pay but this is my "that one time" at the University. Thankfully, that one is behind me. Besides, I already have enough holes in my head Thank you again for all your support...love, caring, and keeping the head above water. Love you all  |

I got this notice in my e-mailbox today, from Dave's cousin who organized his GoFundMe drive. I don't like the news one bit. June 21, 2016 As you know, Dave has tried to get back to work and for a short while was doing good. He has been very sick again lately and missing work. He will be having more tests at the U of M in mid July and hopes to get some answers then. He is having some speech issues again. Please keep him in your prayers.
