360 miles with a broken arm !  Ouch !  Yep, we all have our moments.  We never get over broken bones, they keep reminding us the rest of our lives.

thank you guys

I was in lone pine California last year late September camping. Wind was blowing pretty good so I put up the extra guy lines on my tent. Well nights DRINKING was done and it was time for bed. So I'm walking to my tent and forgot about the guy lines. I tripped and fell {20 years in construction I know how to fall.....or so I thought} well I ALSO forgot that my bike was parked in the "wrong spot"

I threw out my hands to break the fall and my right hand / forearm goes into the saddle bag HARD. I was down and moaning for about 20 minutes thought I sprained it bad. My ridding buddy with me is a retired medic {among other things  Smiley } he also thought it was sprained ...BAD. So I waited about a week just sitting in my chair till the arm would get better.

I knew it was going to take longer to heal so I called my favorite hotel in Ridgecrest California and got me room. Then packed my stuff and rode the 70ish miles from Lone Pine to Ridgecrest. I was unable to lift my right arm onto my handlebar, I had to lift the right arm onto the bars with my left arm. I took EVERY rest spot I could find and made a few of my own. Stopped every 15 20 miles on my way.....got there safe.

Ridgecrest Budget host inn room 118 on the north end of town spent 11 days there healing up. It's a great place to be holed up. I had two pizza places, an Arby's , subway, Thai place, sushi/hibachi and a "greasy spoon" breakfast place within walking distance...........

and when I say walking distance its like this

this is from inside the hotel room

the window under the office sign is the window to the breakfast place. the drugstore was right nextdoor

so 11 days there I rode 300ish to Kingman AZ to my BMW buddy's house where I knew I was hurt enough I was not going to make it home. Went to hospital and had arm Xrayed......... Broken......... in TWO places

So I stored bike in Kingman and flew home from Las Vegas last year. Did therapy on my arm its WORLDS better now. ironically enough the House my parents are buying is just a few miles from my buddy's house where bike is being stored

So im driving a car out there in 2 weeks ish and will move bike to the new house

after that I don't know. I would like to go to inzane but my MS may prevent that

I will keep ya all posted
