Maybe I am not holding my mouth right ,   BUT  it ain"t  working.  I tried several times this morning and got no results..   I will watch for later this afternoon and hope I can see what a newbie has gotten myself into.   A lot of great times and meeting new and older friends should be on the venue.

Those individuals that make their hotel reservations by May 1 for Inzane XVI will be entered in to a drawing for a Garmin Nuvi 2597 which has been donated by the Morgantown,WV Convention and Visitors Bureau!  Those that have made their reservations are already in the drawing for this item.  To make your hotel reservation, you must first register for Inzane as they do need to have your registration number in order to reserve a room for you.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau has been wonderful to work with and are also providing a few "goodies" for all attendees, as well as ride maps and more!  They will be on site every day of our event to answer questions and help in any way that they can.

A charity has been selected and we will be sponsoring a specific child.  I will post more about this next week, as I am awaiting a little more information on the child.

We are gearin up for a great event, one you won't want to miss!!!!

See y'all in June!!!

Check that schedule again, Gabby.  There will be a lot of things going on Monday through Thursday with a little bit Sunday evening and Friday morning during departure.  There will be VRCC members with whom to BS all six days.

I don't believe a vendor list has been posted.  If you were going to attend on account of the vendors, stay home.  You;ll find more vendors on the internet.  The exceptions would be a few, very few, supporting VRCC members who are vendors.  If you're coming to have a good time sign up.

      Thanks Carl,

I had planned to go the camping route but instead decided to stay at Ground Zero.  I was surprised to see the schedule come up on it's own.  NOW  I AM  READY  !!!  I do need any farkles and I know that there is little available for our phat ladies, SO I am very happy with just sitting in my little chair with a cold drink, watching people admire our girls, and telling some of the worst lies known to anyone. I will try to volunteer for any job that you feel needs to be done.  I am a little concerned about parking a trailer, but I assume there is a place to park them so we can use the coolers for the cold drinks.  Probably a dumb thought , but a purple trailer with a dragon on top should deter any onlookers.

I am so ready to come to Morgantown  !!!!  There is going to be a lot of interesting times to be had.

Well, was really just curious about what type of vendor did show up at this gathering given the age of this machine.  Had nothing to do with my motivation to attend, Thank you for the advise anyway.

Be sure to register and make your hotel reservation by May 1st!  All hotel reservations made by May 1st will be entered in to the drawing for the Garmin GPS that will be presented to the winner at opening ceremonies!  The GPS is being donated by the Morgantown WV Covention and Visitors Bureau.

The names entered in to the drawing for the Garmin GPS will be the names of those who have a hotel reservation at Ground Zero.  If you are rooming with someone, you will only be entered in the drawing if the room is in your name.  If there is not a room in your name, you will not be entered in to the drawing.

Remember, to be included in the drawing, your hotel reservation must be made by May 1st.

The hotel will be doing the drawing and the GPS has been donated by the Morgantown, WV Convention and Visitors Bureau.

An interesting caveat...............

No, it's definitely a GPS.  It's not the most expensive GPS but not the cheapest either.  It's expected to be a Garmin Nuvi 2597.  Perhaps someone else will add a Caveat but the hotel in conjunction with the Morgantown Convention and Visitors' Bureau is drawing this Garmin to express appreciation for their customers and to encourage them to get registered before the VRCC has to release rooms to the public.  I like Garmin.  They're headquartered in my town.

Well, since you asked.

It would appear that the Morgantown, WV Convention and Visitors Bureau is only interested in rewarding those who have a room registered at that particular hotel and not all who are registering by the approved date who will also be spending money in Morgantown.

It would appear that this particular hotel has some "pull" with the WV Convention and Visitors Bureau.   One would think that anyone registered for the event could win.    Whether the potential winner be staying at the hotel as a "guest" in some one else's room or at another hotel or the campgrounds, they are all going to spend time and money in Morgantown.    But, that's just my unbiased opinion.

Since you answered, my response:

Unbiased opinion?  I don't think anyone owns one of them.
My opinion, carefully considered but certainly not unbiased.  The hotel is having the drawing.  I'll bet the hotel (or resort, your choice) has in the past brought in lots of benefit to the town.  perhaps there was a conversation that began with, "What can we do for you?" or, "Do you have something you could offer us to promote..."  I wasn't there so I'd only be guessing.  They're really not trying to specifically provide an unwarranted and unpurchased benefit just out of the goodness of their little hearts.  They do have an agenda and giving away a GPS valued at a couple hundred, well a few hundred with lifetime maps, dollars fits that agenda very well.  We (the VRCC) promoted their drawing.  Maybe it's not out of the goodness of our hearts either.  We'd like to see folks fill the hotel rooms as soon as possible.  I really hate it when there are non-InZane guests to complain of InZane activities and the hotel rooms do help finance the event.

If one feels left out and it doesn't bother him that's great.  He should continue on the path he's on.  If one feels left out and it does bother him then he should change what he's chosen to do or simply bite his tongue and understand that that is the way life is.

The hotel has chosen to give away a GPS with lifetime maps.  Their choice.  I had no say in it and I have no say in changing it.  Honestly I have no desire to change it.  If I win the drawing I will tell them to draw again.  That is out of the goodness of my heart and it's solely my business.

Truthfully, I'm just about fed up with what seems to be the constant stream of complaints.  Due to the present state of my personality I think it best if I just leave it at that.   Wink

I'm not going to be included and it doesn't bother me.  I already have the top-shelf motorcycle specific Garmin with lifetime maps, far better than the drawing one.  Though I have already spent hundreds on Morgantown and Inzane and will surely double that.  BTW take that "lifetime maps" with a shaker of salt.  Several disclaimers that make it anything but "lifetime".  Certainly not YOUR lifetime or even close.  Unless you have terminal cancer.  Sorry I'm a bit annoyed with Garmin right now after they EOL'd Mapsource and replaced it with the SORRY Basecamp.  I have to nurse the former along to keep using it's far better design.  But I suspect they are the best GPS provider for my needs.  Having been a loyal customer since before the govt stopped deliberately degrading the signal.

Is there a Vendor list posted someplace?  Couldn't seem to find one.

I thought I might provide some info in case anyone is still interested.

We have four vendors currently registered:

Dave Frank                               Ultimate Seats
Bon Shaw                                 The DigiSync.com
Clint Peters                               Clintsdivco Leather
William Ferguson                       BigBF

If you have a need for a seat or suspect you might Ultimate Seats will be there with samples.  If you suspect you may need mechanical work (first class) on your Valkyrie BigBF will be there working night and day.  If you don't yet have a DigiSync or wiring for a relay to your headlights you'll want to see BonS.  If you thin you might like well carved leather things you'll need to see Clint.

Others may yet register but this is what we have to date.

Oops!  I've been told I made a mistake.  Dave Frank sent in the registration for Ultimate but Des and Leslie are expected to be there.   Embarrassed

Here's an idea...

Perhaps the staff can purchase another GPS  and include everyone in the drawing.  Come guys, that would be awesome!!!   The $150 or so that the GPS will cost will hardly make a dent in the commission they receive from the room rentals.

I really don't see a problem with the whole GPS thing.  If I win, someone else can have it if it will keep the peace.  I also don't see why the VRCC should buy another GPS to give away.  I'm not riding across country to try to win a GPS, as I could easily stay home and spend the money that the trip is going to cost me and buy the best GPS that ever existed and still have cash left over for hookers and pie.  I'm going for the ride and the people.

Wow! Maybe we're making a mountain out of a molehill here. If I win the GPS , draw again.  I have no need anymore for a motorcycle specific GPS since I don't ride.   I already have an older Garmin.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm going for a ride (drive) with my sons, conversations with friends and driving the Miata on W. Va roads, and in THAT order.

For those that remember, no golf cart paths this time.
