I took my Valk out for a 250 run last weekend. As I was coming home I noticed a tapping or clicking noise coming from the right side of the motor at low speeds.
When I got home I noticed what looked like a small oil stain around the right side middle cylinder head. I checked the oil level and it was full.
Any thoughts on what might have caused this to happen, and what the remedy should be?
If at first you don't succeed, then perhaps skydiving isn't for you

Possibly a loose exhaust flange, check the nuts but don't get carried away with too much tension

The clicking sound could be the reed valves associated with your smog devices. It could be you need your valves adjusted too, I'd go with the smog devices first. Where was the oily stain at on the engine,  was it on top or under the head.
On top it might be a leaky intake manifold were you might need a retightening of the bolts due to your Orings leaking. If the Orings are bad an oily looking brown stain shows up around the manifold/head site. If it's under the head it could be the exhaust leaking needing new crush gaskets.

A picture of the oil/stain would as they say, save a thousand words

All of the above are good advice.

I have coasted up my driveway, heard a clicking, and discovered a big pebble stuck in my tire tread causing the clicking.  (Stock exhaust)

We are talking like 7 in or foot pounds, I forget. We are talking snug.
