Hi guys! After 14 years and +50K of hard miles I've shredded my phat girl,s clutch. It's her 1st real problem, until now it's just been routine maintenence --- tires, brakes, fluid changes etc. I'm too old and beat up to do the bigger jobs myself and the local guys I trusted to do my work (E TN Goldwing) retired and closed shop. I was hoping that one of you can recommend a good, honest mechanic to fix her. I'm going crazy from extreme "cage-itus" the only cure I know is to spend a day with my girl, dragging pegs up on the Dragon.  Thanks!!  20over

Are you sure it is the clutch and not the pinion cup or
final drive flange? What's it doing?

I'm with Mike...need more info. What are the symptoms? Does it sound like gravel churning when putting it into gear? Does it slip under acceleration when you rap the throttle? Does your clutch lever not come all the way back to the handlebar on occasion? Is it hard to get into neutral? Please answer these questions and give more feedback. If it's pinion cup, you're talking a couple hundred in parts compared to much more for a clutch job.
