I know there are some current and retired truckers in this group. Is anyone going to be affected by this?

And it's not just this truckers' pension. There are 100's more multi-employer pensions caught up in this.

Pretty disgusting if you ask me, and a good reason not to trust anyone in government or anyone handling your freedoms or money. I watched my father work for a company for roughly 40 years had his pension cut before he retired and then even when he retired. He had enough but not what he expected or paid for. Government has done the same on SS so why would private sector be any different. The toll roads here were paid for by tolls and agreed when the road was paid for the tolls would be removed, fat chance of that.

 This addresses politicians like Bernie and Hilda beast or O, they are not to be trusted. Dont grant them more power, by electing a socialist form of government, take away their power and control since it will be these individuals that will legislate law to take away what you already have. Liberals may not like the current system that gives us specific rights but wait until any law favoring individual rights is taken away. You can kiss any possibility of people changing things goodbye.

A teamster friend is involved in this. He is afraid his pension is about to be halved.

It wasn't just companies pension monies caught up in the '08 crash, many individuals/families had lost their money when that happened.

I was a Teamster back in the 70s. 710 Road Drivers out of Chicago. Not a member long enough to accrue ANY benefits. NOW I wonder HOW the folks my age that I worked with WILL have unwanted intercourse?  Are ANY of the folks that orchestrated that financial scandal in jail for more than 3 or 4 years?
