Wait until next week when he plans to authorize the dead to vote.

The Democrat said his actions would help undo Virginia's long history of trying to suppress the black vote.

The law disenfranchises convicted FELONS from voting, not blacks (latins, whites, or Chinese).

I guess if his AG says it's OK, it must be OK.   Roll Eyes

His words are a piss-poor attempt to make his actions sound legitimate. The base will eat it up

Quote
Such policies make black Americans of voting age four times more likely to lose their voting rights than the rest of the adult population, disenfranchising in1 of every 13 African-American adults nationwide

I found the above line from the article interesting in light of the excellent article Serk linked to.

Found it interesting that just after I read Willow's wise words, stumbled upon this rather prescient article: http://reason.com/archives/2016/04/22/how-democrats-win-debates-by-corrupting

It's not the policy that prevents anybody from voting, it's the fact that they committed a felony. Is it not racist to suggest that African Americans commit felonies at four time the rate of others citizens?

This is true, but if they can get enough people to vote, and they still lose, then they can say (fill in the republican candidates name here) "STOLE" the election while minority voters were disenfranchised.....and the base will eat it up.  uglystupid2

Wonder if he would also consider reinstating the felons their second amendment right to purchase and own firearms.
